World Children's Choir

The World Children's Choir(WCC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The Choir was founded by Sondra Harnes in March 1990 who is also the Choir's Artistic Director and Chief Executive Officer.

The choir headquarters is in Annandale, Virginia, and it serves the Northern Virginia area of Washington, DC. The choir provides opportunities to perform choral music to a culturally diverse membership of children from ages 4 to 18. The choir provides financial support to economically disadvantaged children in the area in order to provide them with a broad musical appreciation that might not otherwise be available. Most of their concerts are benefits for causes such as UNICEF, the National Children's Defense Fund, and CARE. The choir has performed at venues ranging from Carnegie Hall to the White House. [1]

The African Children's Choir is a large choir made up of children ages 7 to 12 from several African nations. Since its inception, the choir has included children from Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, South Africa, Nigeria, and Ghana. Many of the children have lost one or both parents to AIDS and other poverty-related diseases, and all of them are victims of extreme poverty. The choir is a Christian organization and one of its principles is "instilling Christian principles through teaching and leading by example."

The Colorado Children's Chorale is a nationally recognized singing group in Colorado established in 1974, a result of the successful assembly by founder Duain Wolfe of a youth ensemble to perform in Central City Opera's production of A Midsummer Night's Dream. International Childrens Festival at Wolf Trap

The International Children's Festival at Wolf Trap was a youth-oriented festival dedicated to the performing, visual, and interactive arts. The festival is held each September at Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts in Fairfax County, Virginia, which is the United States' only national park devoted solely to the performing arts. First conceived in 1971 as "International Children's Day", the festival provides opportunities for children to share aspects of their culture through the arts. The founder of the Wolf trap National Park for Performing Arts, Catherine Filene Shouse, also originated the festival.

Chor von St. Bonifatius

The Chor von St. Bonifatius is a German mixed choir, the church choir of the parish St. Bonifatius, Wiesbaden. It was founded in 1862 as a male choir and was a mixed choir from 1887. From 1981 to 2018, it was conducted by Gabriel Dessauer, who founded two children's choirs. The group sang the first performance in Germany of John Rutter's Mass of the Children and performed in Azkoitia, San Sebastián, Görlitz, Bruges, Macon and Rome. Colin Mawby composed for the choir the Missa solemnis Bonifatius-Messe for the 150th anniversary, celebrated on 3 October 2012. From 2019, the choir has been conducted by Roman Twardy who conducted in his first concert Dvořák's Stabat Mater.
