Yaga & Mackie are a reggaeton duo from Puerto Rico. The duo has appeared on several notable productions and compilations such as Mas Flow, Kilates Rompiendo El Silencio, and ElCangri.com. They are signed to Los Mackieavelikos Inc. [1] In 2007 Yaga & Mackie released their highest charting single "Aparentemente" feat. Arcángel & De La Ghetto peaking at No. 42 on Billboard's Hot Latin Songs chart. [2] Bad Bunny references Yaga y Mackie's debut album "Sonando Diferente" on the song "Está Cabrón Ser Yo" (featuring Anuel AA) from his chart topping album " YHLQMDLG". [3] [4] [5]

Nova & Jory were a reggaeton duo. Nova was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, and Jory was born in Carolina, Puerto Rico. They started their career in 2003 and were signed to Loud Music at the time of their split. Their debut and only album Mucha Calidad, which after a couple setbacks and push dates, was officially released on July 12, 2011. In October 2012 they announced they had split amicably. Both artists are now pursuing independent solo careers.

Latin trap is a subgenre of Latin hip hop music that originated in Puerto Rico. A direct descendant of southern hip hop, and influenced by reggaeton, it gained popularity after 2007, and has since spread throughout Latin America. The trap is slang for a place where drugs are sold. Latin trap is similar to mainstream trap with lyrics about life on la calle, drugs, sex and violence.

Urbano music or Latin urban is a transnational umbrella category including many different genres and styles. As an umbrella term it includes a wide and diverse set of genres and styles such as dancehall, dembow, urban champeta, funk carioca, Latin hip hop and reggaeton. The commercial breakthrough of this music took place in 2017 with artists from Colombia, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Panama, Puerto Rico, the United States, Venezuela and even non-Spanish-speaking nations, such as Brazil, where Portuguese is spoken.

Premios Juventud aims to inspire, motivate and empower Latino youth to become leaders for change. The awards celebrate the current trends in pop culture, music, digital, fashion, television and social media.
