The 2001 International Formula 3000 Championship was the 35th season of the second-tier motorsport feeder championship of Formula One and the 17th season to be held under the series name. The 2011 FIA GT1 Algarve round is an auto racing event held at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve in Portimão, Portugal on 6–8 May 2011. The event is the third round of the 2011 FIA GT1 World Championship season. FIA GT1 previously visited the Algarve circuit in autumn 2010, with drivers Peter Dumbreck and Michael Krumm of Sumo Power Nissan winning the Qualifying Race, and Michael Bartels and Andrea Bertolini of Vitaphone Maserati winning the Championship Race. The event is supported by the FIA GT3 European Championship, the Mini Challenge, and local Portuguese racing series.

The 2013 Formula Renault 3.5 Series season was a multi-event motor racing championship for open wheel, formula racing cars held across Europe. The championship features drivers competing in 3.5 litre Formula Renault single seat race cars that conform to the technical regulations for the championship. The 2013 season was the ninth Formula Renault 3.5 Series season organized by the Renault Sport. Yann Ehrlacher is a French auto racing driver who competes in the World Touring Car Cup for Cyan Performance Lynk & Co. He was the 2020 World Touring Car Cup champion and defended the title in 2021. He is the son of former racing driver Cathy Muller and Yves Ehrlacher, a former professional footballer. He is also the nephew of Yvan Muller, quadruple winner of the World Touring Car Championship.

The 2018 FIA World Touring Car Cup was the inaugural season of the World Touring Car Cup (WTCR). It took over from the World Touring Car Championship and adopted the TCR technical regulations. It was also the 14th overall season of the series that dates from the 2005 World Touring Car Championship. The 2022 World Touring Car Cup is the fifth season of the World Touring Car Cup and 18th overall of the series, which dates back to the 2005 World Touring Car Championship. The season began on 7 May at the Circuit de Pau-Ville and was scheduled to end on 20 November in Guia Circuit., however multiple event cancellations due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine and ongoing quarantine restrictions in Asia mean that, as of 12th August 2022, no further events are scheduled beyond the seven which have been held despite a promise of an update on 10th August 2022, however the series is officially on its summer break.
