Yaro Oraal (English: Someone Unknown) is a 1978 Malayalam film written, produced and directed by V. K. Pavithran. It was his debut as a director. ^[3] Employing a surrealist narrative, it dealt with cynicism about death. ^[4] The film's music is composed by acclaimed film director G. Aravindan.

Actor T. Ravindranath ("Bank Ravi") ^[5] later became a film producer, most notably with movies like Vasthuhara and Ponthan Mada; the documentary Mounam Sowmanasyam (1997); and Verukal (1997), a television series. ^{[6] [7]} Actor ACK Raja later worked as an art director on KP Kumaran's Kattile Pattu (1982) ^[8] Vipin Mohan was the associate cameraman on Yaaro Oral. ^[9]
