Yaro Oraal (English: Someone Unknown) is a 1978 Malayalam film written, produced and directed by V. K. Pavithran. It was his debut as a director. [3] Employing a surrealist narrative, it dealt with cynicism about death. [4] The film's music is composed by acclaimed film director G. Aravindan.

Ravindranath ("Bank Ravi") [5] later became a film producer, most notably with movies like Vasthuhara and Ponthan Mada; the documentary Mounam Sowmanasyam (1997); and Verukal (1997), a television series. [6] [7] Actor ACK Raja later worked as an art director on KP Kumaran's Kattile Pattu (1982) [8] Vipin Mohan was the associate cameraman on Yaaro Oral. [9]
