Yasemin Akat (born 15 April 1956) is a Turkish fashion designer.

Akat was born in 1956 in Gaziantep and spent her early years working on sculptures and paintings. Her family did not let her pursue a career in fashion designing, but after 23 years [1] Akat founded her first model atelier in 2001 in Arnavutköy, Istanbul.

In 2002, she started working as Ajda Pekkan's stylist for three years and kept that position for three years. [2] [3] She later created her own brand and started selling her products at her stores in Istanbul. [4] She is known for her love of Haute Couture, which often appears in her designs. Sezen Aksu, Zuhal Olcay, İpek Tuzcuoğlu, Tuba Büyüküstün, and Deniz Çakır are among Turkish celebrities who have worn outfits by her brand. [5] [6]

Yasemin Akat, who blends ethnic elements with modern designs, draws attention to the use of many different fabrics in her designs. She has represented her country at fashion fairs in Paris, London, Milan, New York, [7] Barcelona, Berlin, Moscow and Copenhagen, and her collections have been sold in many places around Europe and Middle East. Aside from designing for her own brand, Akat has worked with a number of English and Italian fashion houses as well. [1]

On 11 August 2011, Irish singer and songwriter Laura Mulligan, was chosen as the "Best Dressed Woman" during the Kilbeggan Horse Races. Her outfit for the competition was prepared by Yasemin Akat. [9]

Hepsi was a Turkish girlband. They consisted of Eren Bakıcı, Cemre Kemer and Yasemin Yürük, and formerly of Gülçin Ergül, who left in 2009. Cemre Kemer's mother is a famous manager, Şebnem Özberk. When they were nine years old, they were students at the same conservatory and her mother began to build the group. All the members of the group are ballet dancers.

Aşk Kadın Ruhundan Anlamıyor is the third studio album by Turkish singer Hande Yener. It was released on 6 July 2004 by Erol Köse Production. An album with pop rhythms, it was the singer's first studio album since the 2002 release of Sen Yoluna... Ben Yoluma.... Ten of the album's songs were written and composed by Alper Narman and Fettah Can, making them the two main songwriters and composers in the album. Alongside Narman and Can, Altan Çetin, Mete Özgencil and Sezen Aksu also wrote songs for the album. Hande Yener served as one of the album's producers, and the recordings took place in Hamburg and Istanbul.

<i>Süperstar 83</i> 1983 studio album by Ajda Pekkan

Süperstar '83 is the ninth studio album by Turkish singer Ajda Pekkan. It was released on 19 March 1983 by Balet Plak. With the release of the albums Süperstar (1977) and Süperstar 2 (1979) in the decade before, Pekkan succeeded in getting critical acclaim, however, following her poor results on the Eurovision Song Contest 1980 she stayed away from the music market for a while. Meanwhile, she released two records under the Yaşar Kekeva Plak label, but experienced various problems with the company. While Pekkan's disagreements with the company continued, in August 1982 she joined the musical Büyük Kabare with Metin Akpınar and Zeki Alasya. Some of the songs from this show, which were written by Fikret Şeneş, appeared in the third installment of the Süperstar album series.

<i>Büyük Kabare</i> 1982 musical

Büyük Kabare is a two-part musical performed by Turkish singer Ajda Pekkan and Turkish actors Metin Akpınar and Zeki Alasya for the first time in 1982. Beş Yıl Önce, On Yıl Sonra, Istanbul Developmental Orchestra, Asuman Arsan, Devekuşu Cabaret and USG Dance Group accompanied them on stage. The show went on stage for the first time at the Open-Air Theatre in Istanbul on 6 August 1982 and was held in different cities in the following periods.

She was also a gossip columnist under the pen name "Fitne Fücur" ".
