Yi He (born c. 1986) is a Chinese business executive who co-founded Binance , described by major media as the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume. [1] [2] She serves as Binance's chief marketing officer and, since August 2022, has headed Binance Labs, the company's venture capital and incubation arm. [3]

Career

He worked in Chinese television as a travel-show host before entering the cryptocurrency industry. [4]

In 2014, He co-founded the cryptocurrency exchange OKCoin (now OKX), according to Fortune. [5]

He and Zhao co-founded Binance in 2017. Within six months of launch the exchange was reported as the largest globally by trading volume. [1] In August 2022, He was appointed head of Binance Labs, overseeing its global strategy and investments. [3]

Ownership and influence

The Wall Street Journal has reported that He owns at least 10% of a Cayman-registered holding company associated with Binance and exercises broad influence over the firm's marketing and investment operations. [6]

Personal life

Reuters has reported that she has been in a long-term relationship with co-founder Changpeng Zhao since 2014; the two have a child together. [4] [1]
