Yogendra Makwana (born 1933) is an Indian politician and a former union minister of India. [1] He was a member of Rajya Sabha from 1973 to 1988 elected from Gujarat. [2] He was also a member of the Planning Commission of India. In 2008 he founded the National Bahujan Congress, after he broke away from the Indian National Congress. [3]
The Congress Socialist Party (CSP) was a socialist caucus within the Indian National Congress. It was founded in 1934 by Congress members who rejected what they saw as the anti-rational mysticism of Gandhi as well as the sectarian attitude of the Communist Party of India towards the Congress.
