Adrian Galvin, better known by his moniker Yoke Lore, is an American multi-instrumentalist, dancer, and visual artist from New York, United States. [1] Before going solo Galvin was a member of Walk the Moon and Yellerkin. [2]

Early life

Galvin is from Katonah, New York, and both his parents were creative professionals who encouraged him to explore the arts. [3] His brother is actor and singer Noah Galvin. His mother is Jewish and his father was Catholic. [4] Galvin's father died in November 2023, after a long battle with illness. [5] [6] Galvin attended Kenyon College where he began writing songs and playing drums for the band Walk the Moon. [7] He split with the band to form a short-lived project called Yellerkin in 2013. [3] Galvin lived in a monastery in India for a time after college. [2] Yellerkin, which was based in Brooklyn, was co-founded with producer Luca Buccellati. [8] [9]

Yoke Lore

He released his first EP as Yoke Lore in 2016, and soon after performed at SXSW and toured internationally. [10] Galvin is also a dancer and founded a dance group called Boomerang in 2016. [3]

In late 2017, he released a video for the song "Beige". [11] Late in 2019, he released the single "Dead Ringer". [12] Early in 2020, he collaborated with Jax Anderson on the single "Sensitive Heart". [13]

His stage name comes from a song he created with his friend Bob that was about George W. Bush, when they started freestyling and saying "He's a penguin vision, he went to the penguin prison, and assumed a penguin position". While Glover creates music by himself, he has a band for live shows and tours consisting of Andrew Pertes, David Gross, Ben Grubin, and formerly Ernesto Karolys.

Steven Zhu, known mononymously as Zhu, is an American electronic music producer and singer who has been active since the beginning of 2014, signed to Mind of a Genius Records. Until mid-2014, Zhu remained anonymous, asking to be judged by his music alone. His debut album, Generationwhy, was released on July 29, 2016 and first premiered at Coachella during his closing set in the Sahara Tent. Daniel John Vidmar, best known by his stage name Shy Girls, is an American alternative R&B singer-songwriter and producer currently based in Los Angeles, CA. His debut EP, Timeshare, was released in 2013 to critical acclaim on the Internet. Throughout 2014, Shy Girls was hand-picked as US tour opener for Haim, Maxwell, and Little Dragon and performed at festivals like Lollapalooza and MusicfestNW. Noah Egidi Galvin is an American actor and singer. He is best known for playing Kenny O'Neal in the ABC sitcom The Real O'Neals, temporarily taking over the title role in the Broadway musical Dear Evan Hansen, and for playing Dr. Asher Wolke in the TV series The Good Doctor. He also originated the role of the Duchess in the off-Broadway musical Alice by Heart and sung as Brian on the cast recording of the musical adaptation of Goosebumps. Timucin Lam, known professionally as Jax Jones, is an English DJ, producer and remixer. He rose to prominence in 2014 by featuring on Duke Dumont's number-one single "I Got U". He followed this up with his own singles "You Don't Know Me" featuring Raye and "Instruction" featuring Demi Lovato and Stefflon Don in 2016 and 2017, respectively.
