Yoshiko Sembon (born November 6, 1928) is a Japanese screenwriter and director.
Yoshiko Sembon was born November 6, 1928, in the Manchuria region of China. When she was nine, Sembon returned to Japan with her family and settled down in Tateyama, Chiba. Her family moved to Tokyo after World War II ended. Sembon later entered Waseda University as an acting major. Upon graduating from college in 1953, she began working at the newly created Nippon Television. Since then, she has written and directed numerous television programs.
Sembon's directorial feature-film debut, Red Whale, White Snake, was released on November 25, 2006. The film is about Yoshiko's childhood days in Chiba Prefecture.

Yoshiko Kawashima was a Qing dynasty princess of the Aisin-Gioro clan. She was raised in Japan and served as a spy for the Japanese Kwantung Army and Manchukuo during the Second Sino-Japanese War. Yoshiko Mita is a Japanese actress. Born in the city of Osaka, she graduated from Joshibi High School of Art and Design in Suginami, Tokyo. In 1960, she was hired by Toei and made her acting debut. She remained with Toei until 1967, then became free to appear in films, on television, and on the stage. Her performance in the film W no higeki earned the Japan Academy Prize for Best Supporting Actress in 1986. After the folding of NEO, Mizushima began working exclusively for the World Wonder Ring Stardom promotion, where she became a one-time holder of both the Artist of Stardom and Goddess of Stardom Championships. She is also a former four-time holder of the High Speed Championship, which has been owned by both NEO and Stardom. Mizushima was recognized as one of the top high-flyers in joshi puroresu. She retired from in-ring competition in June 2014 and afterwards began working for the Seadlinnng promotion as a senior managing director and referee.

The story of this project revolves around a new group of nine schoolgirls who become idols in order to save their school from shutting down. White Snake is a 2019 animated fantasy film directed by Amp Wong and Zhao Ji, with animation production by Light Chaser Animation. The film was inspired by the Chinese folktale Legend of the White Snake and was released in China on January 11, 2019. A sequel, Green Snake, was announced in 2020, and was released on July 23, 2021.
