Joseph Holmes, better known as Young Seph, [1] is an American music producer and songwriter born in Sierra Vista, Arizona. Young Seph has produced for artists such as 50 Cent, Jim Jones, Lloyd Banks, Troy Ave, Rocko Young Buck and Havoc, among others.

Music career

Young Seph [2] landed his first major placement in 2009 on Jim Jones 4th studio album Pray IV Reign . [3] In late 2010, Lloyd Banks confirmed production from Seph on his most recently released album H.F.M. 2 . [4] Sephs' most recent work was released on March 17, 2011 "Boomerang" 11 out of 11 Freestyle by 50 Cent.

In early 2012 Seph was featured in Red Bull's National Super Bowl TV Commercial "Red Bull Gives You Wings 60", featuring Blake Griffin and other Red Bull sponsored professional athletes. [5]

In early 2019 started the YoungSeph.com, an Online Beat Store for Artist, Labels, and Films/Commercials looking for music production, hooks & or Songs. The website also features beat tutorials, live studio sessions, and more.

He began his career as a member of East Coast hip hop group G-Unit, which he formed with childhood friends 50 Cent and Tony Yayo in 1999. After the release of their debut album Beg for Mercy (2003), Banks released his debut solo album, The Hunger for More (2004) the following year. Met with critical and commercial success, it peaked atop the Billboard 200 and spawned the Billboard Hot 100-top ten single, "On Fire", as well as the top 20 single "Karma". His second album, Rotten Apple (2006) peaked at number three on the Billboard 200 and saw mixed reviews. Making the Video is an MTV show, consisting of half-hour episodes, which chronicles the process of filming various music videos. G-Unit Records is an American record label, owned by Universal Music Group. Founded in 2003 by rapper 50 Cent, the label was operated by Interscope Records until February 2014. Thereafter, distribution of G-Unit operated under Caroline Records and Capitol Music Group. The label had also launched the subsidiary label G-Note Records, which caters to R&B and pop. The label's flagship artist is its founder 50 Cent, as well as the label's namesake group of which was formed prior.
