Young Widows is an American band from Louisville, Kentucky. They have released four full-length albums and seven split EPs.
Young Widows formed in 2006 from the ashes of mathcore group Breather Resist. In December 2005, lead singer Steve Sidoni left Breather Resist, and guitarist Evan Patterson and bassist Nick Thieneman assumed the vocal duties. They entered the studio in early 2006 but found that their sound had changed significantly. They then changed the name from Breather Resist to Young Widows.[ citation needed ]
Preceded by a split 7-inch with Coliseum, their debut full length titled Settle Down City was released in September 2006 on Jade Tree Records. Citing a lack of interest from Jade Tree, the band later moved to Temporary Residence Limited where they released their second album Old Wounds in September 2008. In late 2008 and early 2009, a series of four split 7-inchs were released featuring Young Widows and a different band for every split. These were all released by Temporary Residence, and when put together the covers form one 14x14" picture. Original drummer Geoff Paton was replaced by Jeremy McMonigle in 2008. They have toured with bands such as Pelican, Russian Circles, These Arms Are Snakes, Thursday, The Fall of Troy, La Dispute and Daughters.
Their third album, In and Out of Youth and Lightness was released by Temporary Residence in April 2011 and sees the band taking their sound in a quieter noise rock and gothic rock-influenced direction.

These Arms Are Snakes was an American post-hardcore band that formed in 2002 and featured former members of Botch and Kill Sadie. Before disbanding in 2009, they released three studio albums: Oxeneers or the Lion Sleeps When Its Antelope Go Home (2004), Easter (2006) and Tail Swallower and Dove (2008). Former members of These Arms Are Snakes currently play in Russian Circles, Narrows, Minus the Bear, Crypts, and Hooves.
Red Sparowes is an American, Los Angeles-based post-rock band, comprising current and former members of Isis, Marriages, The Nocturnes, Halifax Pier, Angel Hair and Pleasure Forever. Their sound is characteristic of soundscape-influenced experimental rock, with an otherwise uncommon extensive use of a pedal steel guitar.

David Paton is a Scottish bassist, guitarist and singer. He first achieved success in the mid-1970s as lead vocalist and bassist of Pilot, who scored hits with "Magic", "January", "Just a Smile" and "Call Me Round" before splitting in 1977. Paton is also known for his work in the original lineup of The Alan Parsons Project (1975-1985), and for working with acts such as Kate Bush, Camel and Elton John.

Robotic Empire was known as Robodog Records for their first 14 releases.
Church of Misery is a Japanese doom metal band from Tokyo, formed in 1995. Church of Misery's musical style melds early Black Sabbath-style doom with psychedelic rock; most of the band's songs are about serial killers and mass murderers.
Kylesa is an American heavy metal band that was formed in Savannah, Georgia. Their music incorporates experimentalism with heavy riffs, drop-tuned guitars and elements of psychedelic rock. The band has since undergone line up changes; the remaining original members are Phillip Cope and Laura Pleasants. In 2006, the band added two drummers. Coliseum was an American punk rock band from Louisville, Kentucky, that was formed in 2003. They released five studio albums, the latest of which was Anxiety's Kiss on Deathwish Inc. In May 2015. Exclaim! named their 2010 album House with a Curse the No. 6 Punk Album of 2010. After a 12-year run, Coliseum disbanded in 2015, although an official statement acknowledging this was not released until two years later (2017) when the band's lead vocalist Ryan Patterson introduced his new band, Fotocrime.

"Helms Alee" is a nautical term, included in the commands for tacking a sailboat.

In Utero, in Tribute, in Entirety is a tribute album to Nirvana's 1993 third and final album, In Utero, by various artists. The album was released through Robotic Empire on April 15, 2014, and an exclusive version was released for Record Store Day on April 19, 2014. The compilation, which represents Robotic Empire's 100th release overall and 15th anniversary as a business, took over 7 years to make because of "extended delays and legal wrangling." In the time it took to make the album, Jay Reatard died and These Arms Are Snakes, Thursday and Daughters disbanded, making their contributions some of the last music they recorded. An unmastered version of Jay Reatard's "Frances Farmer Will Have Her Revenge on Seattle" leaked online a few years prior to the official release of the album.
Old Wounds is an album by the American rock band Young Widows. While it's often considered to be the band's second official studio album, Old Wounds features a compilation of studio recordings, live recordings and composite songs with a mix of studio and live components. The album was released on September 9, 2008 through Temporary Residence Limited — the band's first through the label. Old Wounds was produced by Converge guitarist Kurt Ballou and also features guest vocals from Converge bassist Nate Newton.

The album was released by Robotic Empire for Record Store Day on April 18, 2015 in vinyl and digital formats. Robotic Empire previously released In Utero, in Tribute, in Entirety — a tribute to Nirvana's third and final studio album In Utero — for Record Store Day 2014. Whatever Nevermind also coincides with the label's 16th anniversary, and celebrates this fact by cataloging the album as the label's 116th release.

The album was released by Robotic Empire for Record Store Day on April 16, 2016. It also concludes a series Robotic Empire Nirvana tribute albums, which also includes 2014's In Utero, in Tribute, in Entirety and Whatever Nevermind.
