Youngor Sevelee Telewoda (born September 3, 1952, in Firestone, Margibi County, Liberia) was the Liberian ambassador to Germany, Austria, Japan with Co-Accreditation to Indonesia, the Republic of Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, Thailand and New Zealand from 2011 to 2017. From 2003 to 2010, Telewoda served as Liberia’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Belgium with concurrent accreditation to the Netherlands, Luxembourg and the European Union. Liberia, officially the Republic of Liberia, is a country on the West African coast. Joseph Jenkins Roberts was an African-American merchant who emigrated to Liberia in 1829, where he became a noted politician. Elected as the first (1848–1856) and seventh (1872–1876) President of Liberia after independence, he was the first man of African descent to govern the country, serving previously as governor from 1841 to 1848. Born free in Norfolk, Virginia, Roberts emigrated as a young man with his mother, siblings, wife, and child to the young West African colony. He opened a trading firm in Monrovia and later engaged in politics.

Liberia–Turkey relations Bilateral diplomatic relations

Liberia–Turkey relations are the foreign relations between Liberia and Turkey. The Turkish ambassador in Accra, Ghana is also accredited to Liberia since 2013. Liberian Embassy in Brussels is accredited to Turkey. Turkey will be opening an embassy in Liberia’s capital Monrovia 'as soon as possible.'
