The 2022 World Aquatics Championships — 19th FINA World Aquatics Championships will be held in Fukuoka, Japan in 2022. It will be the second time Fukuoka hosts this meet, 21 years after the 2001 World Aquatics Championships. The Championships were originally scheduled to be held in 2021, but when the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics were postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic the dates clashed, so the Championships dates were changed. The new dates are May 13–29, 2022.
