FINA is the international federation recognised by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) for administering international competition in water sports. It is one of several international federations which administer a given sport or discipline for the IOC and international community. It is based in Lausanne, Switzerland.
The 17th FINA World Championships were held in Budapest, Hungary from 14 to 30 July 2017.
The 2019 World Aquatics Championships were the 18th FINA World Aquatics Championships, held in Gwangju, South Korea from 12 to 28 July 2019. The city had previously hosted the 2015 Summer Universiade aquatics events in the same venues.
The 2022 World Aquatics Championships — 19th FINA World Aquatics Championships will be held in Fukuoka, Japan in 2022. It will be the second time Fukuoka hosts this meet, 21 years after the 2001 World Aquatics Championships. The Championships were originally scheduled to be held in 2021, but when the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics were postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic the dates clashed, so the Championships dates were changed. The new dates are May 13–29, 2022.

In both events she did not advance to compete in the semi-finals.
