With 7 Olympic and 30 World Championship medals, she is one of the most decorated gymnasts in history and is widely considered one of the greatest gymnasts of all time. With seven Olympic medals, she is the ninth-most decorated female Olympic gymnast, and is tied with Shannon Miller for the most Olympic medals earned by a U.S. gymnast.

Miss Normandy is a French beauty pageant which selects a representative for the Miss France national competition from the region of Normandy. Women representing the region under various different titles have competed at Miss France since 1952, although the Miss Normandy title was not used regularly until 1979.
