Yuan Baishun is Professor of Political Science, an Academic Committee member, and Vice Dean of the law school at Hunan University. [1] [2]

Yuan is also the executive director of the Center for Clean Governance [3] of Hunan Province; Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Anti-Corruption Studies; vice chairman of the Chinese Society of Integrity Education and Anti-Corruption Studies; and a board member of Transparency International-China and of the Chinese Society of Political Science.

Qin Guangrong is a former Chinese politician. He previous served as deputy chair of the committee on internal legal affairs of the National People's Congress, from 2014 to 2018, the Communist Party Secretary of Yunnan province, the province's top political office, from 2011 to October 2014. Prior to that he was the Governor of Yunnan. Qin is related to that of his son Qin Ling, former chairman of Huarong Investment Stock Corp. His son Qin Ling was under investigation as part of the corruption scandal at the Huarong Asset Management Co. Ltd., one of China's four state-run bad-asset disposal companies. He is the first leader of provincial level to spontaneously hand himself in to the anti-corruption agency of China.

Corruption in China post-1949 refers to the abuse of political power for private ends typically by members of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), who hold the majority of power in the country. Corruption is a very significant problem in China, impacting all aspects of administration, law enforcement, healthcare and education. Since the Chinese economic reforms began, corruption has been attributed to "organizational involution" caused by the market liberalization reforms initiated by Deng Xiaoping. Like other socialist economies that have undertaken economic reforms, such as post-Soviet Eastern Europe and Central Asia, reform-era China has experienced increasing levels of corruption.

Zhou Benshun is a former Chinese politician. Between 2013 and 2015, he served as the Communist Party Secretary and the top official of Hebei Province. Prior to his post in Hebei, Zhou Benshun was the Secretary-General of the Central Political and Legal Affairs Commission, serving under disgraced domestic security chief Zhou Yongkang.

Chen Anzhong is a former Chinese politician who served in a variety of positions in Jiangxi province. In 2015, he was sentenced to twelve years in prison for corruption.

Tong Mingqian is a former Chinese politician. At the height of his political career he served as the Communist Party Secretary of the cities of Shaoyang and Hengyang, before becoming the Vice-Chairman of the Hunan Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, a largely ceremonial legislative consultation body. He was removed from office in December 2013 and placed under investigation by the Communist Party's anti-graft agency.

Yang Baohua is a former Chinese politician from Hunan province. He served successively as the party chief of Yueyang, party chief of Changsha, and Vice-Chairman of Hunan People's Political Consultative Conference. He underwent investigation for corruption in 2014.

Sun Hongzhi is a Chinese politician who spent most of his career in Northeast China's Jilin province. As of December 2014 he was under investigation by the Communist Party's anti-corruption agency. At the time of his investigation, Sun served as the Vice-Minister of the State Administration for Industry and Commerce (SAIC).

Gong Weiguo is a former Chinese politician who spent most of his career in south China's Hunan province. He was investigated by the Chinese Communist Party's anti-graft agency in April 2015. Previously he served as the Deputy Communist Party Secretary and Mayor of Linxiang.

Liu Hesheng is a former Chinese politician who served as mayor and party secretary of Yueyang from 2015 to 2019, and chairman of Yueyang People's Congress from 2018 to 2019. He was investigated by China's top anti-graft agency in April 2020.

Gong Wusheng is a former Chinese politician who served as party secretary of Loudi from 2011 to 2016, and mayor of Yongzhou from 2005 to 2011. As of May 2020, he was under investigation by China's top anti-corruption agency. Gong crossed paths with and was known to be a close ally of Qin Guangrong. He was a delegate to the 11th National People's Congress.

Yu Luming is a former Chinese politician. In April 2022, Yu was investigated by China's top anti-corruption agency, and in March 2023, Yu Luming was charged with bribery.
