Yuli B. Rudyak (24 April 1948 - 24 August 2024) was a professor of mathematics at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. He obtained his doctorate from Moscow State University under the supervision of M. M. Postnikov. His main research interests are geometry and topology and symplectic topology.
Rudyak is the father of Marina Rudyak, who is an Assistant Professor of Chinese Studies at the University of Heidelberg.

Stephen Smale is an American mathematician, known for his research in topology, dynamical systems and mathematical economics. He was awarded the Fields Medal in 1966 and spent more than three decades on the mathematics faculty of the University of California, Berkeley, where he currently is Professor Emeritus, with research interests in algorithms, numerical analysis and global analysis.
John Willard Milnor is an American mathematician known for his work in differential topology, algebraic K-theory and low-dimensional holomorphic dynamical systems. Milnor is a distinguished professor at Stony Brook University and the only mathematician to have won the Fields Medal, the Wolf Prize, the Abel Prize and all three Steele prizes.
Daniel Gray Quillen was an American mathematician. He is known for being the "prime architect" of higher algebraic K-theory, for which he was awarded the Cole Prize in 1975 and the Fields Medal in 1978.
