Yulia Zagoruychenko (born September 11, 1981) is a ten-time Latin Dance Champion and the current World Latin Dance Champion with her partner/husband, Riccardo Cocchi. [1]
Born on September 11, 1981, in Belgorod, Russia, Zagoruychenko began Russian Folklore ensemble dancing at the age of four. [2] [1] As a child, she enjoyed watching and copying dancers on TV, so her mother agreed to enroll her in dance classes. Her training began with Russian folk dancing, and after three years, she moved into ballroom dancing. At the age of 11, Zagoruychenko began teaching other children to earn money for her family. [3] In 1983, at the age of 12, she earned her first major title when she became the Russian Junior National Champion. [1] [3] For financial reasons, she was not able to afford to dance both Ballroom and Latin and hence, at the age of 16, she chose to pursue Latin. At the age of 21, she decided to move to America and partnered with Maxim Kozhevnikov. [1] Together they became the US National Professional Champions. In the fall of 2007, she began dancing with Riccardo Cocchi. [4]
Zagoruychenko and Cocchi won their first World Latin Dance Championship in 2010 and earned their eighth title in 2017. They are ranked as #1 in the world of Professional Latin. [5] They recently won their 5th consecutive US National Professional Latin Champions title at the US Open Dance Competition. [6] In October 2019, they announced their retirement, with their last international competition being the World Professional Latin Champions in Miami. The pair continues to publish instructional dance content on the app Koros. [1] They still perform as guests at events like Shining Star Cup 2023. [7]
Yulia cites other forms of dance besides Latin, as well as from other musicians, including Cyd Charisse, Fred Astaire, Diana Vishneva, Gaynor Fairweather, and Donnie Burns. She is also inspired by musicians Jose Feliciano, Tina Turner, Andrea Bocelli, Christina Aguilera, and the dance companies Pilobolus and Alvin Ailey. [8]
In 2017, after ten years of professional collaboration, Zagoruychenko and Cocchi were married. They have one son together. [1]
Zagoruychenko was named an "American By Choice" in 2011, an honor bestowed by the Carnegie Corporation to "exceptional U.S. immigrants". [9] [10]

Ariella (Aria) Maree Rush is an American ballroom dancer noted for dazzling and complex dance routines with her various professional dance partners, the most notable being Keith Knox, from 1976 through 1981. Rush and Knox were best known for their tango, cha-cha and mambo routines, as well as, high-energy swing dancing. Rush made appearances all over the United States including Disney World in Orlando, Florida, Universal Studios, Six Flags Over Georgia, Six Flags Over Texas, the Roseland Ballroom in New York City and the Fox Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia. Rush is also credited under other aliases, including Arianna, Aria Rose, and Maree Champion.

Daniella Karagach Pashkova is an American dancer. Karagach and dance partner Leonid Juashkovsky are three-time United States junior I and II Latin champions. They were the 2007 junior II 10 dance champions. Abroad, they reached the finals in the Celtic Classic, Moscow Open and Barcelona Open. Karagach and Juashkovsky were the United States representatives to the World Championships in Latvia, Russia and Barcelona. They appeared on seasons 2 and 3 of America's Ballroom Challenge on PBS. After Leonid, she paired with Pasha Pashkov, with whom they won numerous US and world championships, including, National titles in Latin, Ballroom, 10 dance and showdance. They won the Rising Star championships in Blackpool,UK Open and UK Open 10-dance. She became a professional dancer on Dancing with the Stars in 2019, when she was paired up with Nelly. She went on to win her first Mirrorball trophy in her second season with celebrity partner Iman Shumpert.
Joanna Leunis, is a professional Latin ballroom dancer. With Michael Malitowski, she is a former professional World Latin Dance Champion and the current International Latin American Dance Champion. The couple represented Poland until 2011, choosing to represent England until their retirement in 2015.

She was two-time Champion of Russia, four-time Champion of Italy, two-time vice-champion of the World in Youth Latin, IDSF, finalist of the World and European championships in IDSF, champion of the World 2009 in IDSA and IDU versions and champion of the Europe WDC Latin 2009.
