IRA is a Polish rock band formed in 1987 in Radom by Jakub Płucisz (guitar). They gained wide popularity in Poland in the early nineties, mainly after releasing the "Mój Dom" album, with the hit title song, which dates back to their garage and semi-professional days. They also gained some local popularity amongst Polish-speaking citizens in the United States, where they lived and worked for few months. After signing a professional contract back in Poland, they released a few albums which did not prove to be commercially successful, and the band disbanded afterwards. Artur Gadowski started a solo career. He opened for Brian May before his show in Warsaw in September 1998. Artur's solo efforts were not very successful either, and what success he did gain was largely based on the then high profile of IRA.

Milionerzy (Millionaires) is a Polish game show based on the original British format of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? The show is hosted by Hubert Urbański. The main goal of the game is to win 1 million Polish złoty by answering twelve multiple-choice questions correctly. There are three classic lifelines – ask the audience, fifty fifty and phone a friend – and also two other lifelines – ask the expert and switch the question. From March to December 2010 contestant could choose risk game, where the second guaranteed sum was not guaranteed. The first version of Milionerzy was broadcast from 3 September 1999 to 26 January 2003, the second version was broadcast from 19 January 2008 to 19 December 2010, and the third version has been broadcast since 9 February 2017. Since 2017, it is shown every Monday to Thursday at 8:50 p.m. or 8:55 p.m. on the Polish commercial television station TVN. Since 2008, when a contestant gets the second question correct, they will leave with 1,000 zł. When a contestant gets the seventh question correct, they will leave with 40,000 zł.

In this inspirational film we get to know Gorski from the very beginning, at the onset of his addition to drugs. But along with rising action, main character becomes more and more addicted and lose his best friend and soon, a lover. It's during the second half of movie when he decides to change and fight his demons. For his mother, himself, new lover and most important his daughter which was left without mother after his girlfriend died from overdose. However leaving your addiction is much more harder than winning the biggest triathlon...
Operation Hyacinth is a 2021 Polish film directed by Piotr Domalewski, written by Marcin Ciaston and starring Tomasz Ziętek, Hubert Miłkowski, and Marek Kalita. The drama is based on the Operation Hyacinth, which was a secret mass operation of the Polish communist police, carried out in the years 1985–87. Its purpose was to create a national database of all Polish homosexuals and people who were in touch with them. The film was well received by critics.
