Yunusa Abubakar is a politician representing Yamaltu-Deba Constituency in the House of Representatives of Nigeria. [1] [2] [3]

Early life and education

Hon. Abubakar is an indigene of Yalmatu/Deba Local Government Area of Gombe State. [4] He studied at the Government Secondary School in Kaltungo, Gombe State, and received her General Certificate of Education in 1977. He continued to the polytechnic, where he earned an HND in electrical engineering in 1990. [5]

Politics

In 2002, he was elected as a Member of the Gombe State House of Assembly representing Yamaltu-Deba from 2000 to 2003. He was chosen in 2015 to serve as the National Assembly representative for the Yamaltu-Deba Federal Constituency on the APC platform.

The Gombe State House of Assembly is the legislative arm of the government of Gombe State of Nigeria. It is a unicameral legislature with 24 members elected from the 11 local government areas of the state delineated into 24 state constituencies. Local government areas with considerably larger populations are delineated into two constituencies to give equal representation. This makes the number of legislators in the Gombe State House of Assembly 24.

The 2023 Gombe State gubernatorial election will take place on 18 March 2023, to elect the Governor of Gombe State, concurrent with elections to the Gombe State House of Assembly as well as twenty-seven other gubernatorial elections and elections to all other state houses of assembly. The election—which was postponed from its original 11 March date—will be held three weeks after the presidential election and National Assembly elections. Patrick Aisowieren is a Nigerian politician who has served as a representative of the Orhionmwon/Uhumwonde constituency in the House of Representatives of Nigeria during both the 8th and 9th National Assembly. His political career began in 2003 when he was elected as a Councillor in Orhionmwon Local Government Area of Edo State. The 2023 Nigerian presidential election in Gombe State was held on 25 February 2023 as part of the nationwide 2023 Nigerian presidential election to elect the president and vice president of Nigeria. Other federal elections, including elections to the House of Representatives and the Senate, will also be held on the same date while state elections will be held two weeks afterward on 11 March.

James Adisa Owolabi is a businessman and a Nigerian politician serving as the Federal Representative for the Ifako Ijaiye constituency in the 9th Nigerian National Assembly at the House of Representatives. A member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Owolabi serves on the Pilgrims Affairs Committee and is its vice chairman until May 2023.
