Yvan Mendy (born 21 May 1985) is a French professional boxer of Senegalese descent. He has held multiple regional lightweight titles throughout his career, including the French title from 2013 to 2014; the European Union title in 2016; and the WBC Silver title in 2017. [1]
In June 2013, a year after unsuccessfully taking on Viktor Postol for the WBC International Silver super lightweight title, Mendy won the French lightweight title for the first time, beating Marvin Petit. He went on to defend this title four times before trying to become European champion.
In April 2015 Mendy fought Edis Tatli for the vacant EBU (European) lightweight title and was defeated by unanimous decision.
On December 12, 2015 Mendy recorded a split-decision victory over Olympic gold medalist Luke Campbell on the undercard of Anthony Joshua vs. Dillian Whyte. [2]

The World Boxing Council (WBC) is an international professional boxing organization. It is among the four major organizations which sanction professional boxing bouts, alongside the World Boxing Association (WBA), International Boxing Federation (IBF) and World Boxing Organization (WBO).
Selçuk Aydın is a Turkish professional boxer. He held the European welterweight title from 2009 to 2010, the WBC Silver welterweight title from 2010 to 2012, and has challenged once for the WBC interim welterweight title in 2012. As an amateur he won several medals at the European and European Union Championships, all in the lightweight division.
Joel Casamayor Johnson is a Cuban American former professional boxer who competed from 1996 to 2011. He held world championships in two weight classes, including the WBA super featherweight title from 2000 to 2002; and the WBC, Ring magazine and lineal lightweight titles between 2006 and 2008. At regional level he held the WBC Silver and Commonwealth lightweight titles from 2016 to 2017. As an amateur, Campbell won gold at the 2008 European Championships, silver at the 2011 World Championships, and gold at the 2012 Olympics, all in the bantamweight division.

Devin Haney vs. Jorge Linares was a professional boxing match contested between WBC lightweight champion Devin Haney, and former three-division world champion Jorge Linares. The bout took place at the Michelob Ultra Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, on May 29, 2021, with Haney's WBC title on the line. Haney won by unanimous decision with the judges scoring the bout 116-112, 116-112, 115-113 in his favor.
