Zaheer Khan (born 3 December 1979) is a Pakistani former cricketer. He played first-class cricket for several domestic teams in Pakistan between 1998 and 2000. [1] He was also a part of Pakistan's squad for the 1998 Under-19 Cricket World Cup.
Mohammad Javed Miandad PP SI, popularly known as Javed Miandad, is a Pakistani cricket coach, commentator and former cricketer known for his unconventional style of captaincy and batting. ESPNcricinfo described him as "the greatest batsman Pakistan has ever produced" and his contemporary Ian Chappell extolled him as one of the finest batsmen in the history of cricket.
Zaheer Khan is an Indian former professional cricketer who played all formats of the game for the Indian national team from 2000 till 2014. A left-arm fast-medium bowler known for his ability to "move the ball both ways off the wicket and swing the old ball at some pace", he was known for reverse swing with the old ball. Considered one of the best fast bowlers Indian cricket as ever produced, he was the second-most successful Indian pace bowler in Test cricket, behind Kapil Dev.
Syed Zaheer Abbas Kirmani PP,, popularly known as Zaheer Abbas, is a Pakistani former cricketer. He is among the few professional cricketers who used to wear spectacles in the cricket ground. In 1982/1983, he became the first batsman to score three consecutive centuries in one-day internationals. Sometimes known as 'the Asian Bradman', Zaheer Abbas is regarded as one of the finest batsmen in the history of cricket. In August 2020, he was inducted into the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame.
Mohammad Javed Omar Belim, known in the early days of his career by the nickname Gullu is a former Bangladeshi cricketer who has played Tests and ODI cricket since 1995, and a former captain in both formats. Jawed bid bye after a friendly domestic match on January 3, 2014.

The India national cricket team toured Pakistan for cricket matches during the 2005–06 season. Both India and Pakistan had already played Test matches during this season; India were coming off a 2–0 series win at home over Sri Lanka, while Pakistan beat England by the same margin. In ODI cricket, India's last series, in November 2005, ended in a 2–2 draw with South Africa, while Pakistan beat England 3–2 in December 2005. The tour began on 7 January 2006 with India playing Pakistan A in a non-first class game, and continued till 19 February.

The Pakistan national cricket team toured Australia in the 1972–73 season and played three Test matches against the Australian national cricket team. After an inadequate preparation against weak teams, Pakistan lost by an innings in the first Test in Adelaide. While Australia won the series 3–0, the last two tests were competitive, with Pakistan seeming the likely winner on the second last days. The 2nd test in Melbourne was attended by 115,721. Pakistan also visited Sri Lanka and played a match against the Sri Lankan national cricket team and followed the tour with a series against New Zealand, where both teams played their first ODI.

The 2000 ICC KnockOut Trophy was the second edition of the One Day International cricket tournament. Later renamed as ICC Champions Trophy, it was held in Kenya. New Zealand were crowned champions and cashed the winner's cheque of US$250,000 with defeating India in the finals. It was their first win in a major ICC tournament. The Australian cricket team toured India from 27 September to 10 November 2008 and played four test matches, for the Border–Gavaskar Trophy. During the second test match in Mohali Sachin Tendulkar became the first person to make 12,000 runs in Test cricket breaking Brian Lara's record of 11,953 runs. The 2011 ICC Awards were held on 12 September 2011 in London, England. They were presented at a grand ceremony in association with the Federation of International Cricketers' Associations (FICA). The ICC had been hosting ICC Awards since 2004, which were now into their eighth year. Previous events were held in London (2004), Sydney (2005), Mumbai (2006), Johannesburg, Dubai (2008) and Bangalore (2010). The ICC awards the Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy to the Cricketer of the Year, which is considered to be the most prestigious award in world cricket.

Dawood Industries were a Pakistani first-class cricket team sponsored by the Dawood group of companies. They had one season of first-class cricket in the Patron's Trophy in 1975–76.
