Zahid Pirzad (born 1 August 1958, Karachi, Pakistan) is a former Pakistani field hockey player. He played center halfback. He made his international debut for Pakistan in 1982 [1] against Japan in which Pakistan won the gold medal.
In 1983, Pirzada represented Pakistan in Germany.
He retired the team in 1987 and later he participated in the "Veterans' World Cup 2002" hockey tournament in Kuala Lumpur and won the gold medal.
Pirzada captained the Pakistan Army Hockey Team from 1981 to 1987.

Six years earlier, at the Hockey World Cup in Lahore, where he scored nine times, he won the world title with the Dutch side at the expense of host nation Pakistan.

Harbinder Singh is a former field hockey player from India. He started his international career in 1961 at the age of 18 years [youngest member of the team] with a tour to New Zealand and Australia with Indian hockey team. During the span of 12 years from 1961 to 1972 had represented the country in three Olympics – Tokyo 1964 — gold medal [scored highest field goals – 5 out of 9 goals], Mexico 1968 — bronze medal [scored highest field goals – 6 out of 11, including hat-trick against Mexico] and was also selected as a centre forward in the "World XI", in Munich 1972 — bronze medal.
Raghbir Singh Bhola was an Indian Airforce Officer and international hockey player who represented India in the 1956 Melbourne and 1960 Rome Olympics, winning a gold and silver medal respectively for the country. He was also awarded the Arjuna Award for his contributions to Indian Hockey in 2000.

They have also scored the most goals in the Olympics than any other team. They are also the only team to ever win the Olympics without conceding a single goal in 1928 and 1956.

They have been a member of the International Hockey Federation (FIH) since 1948 and founding member of the Asian Hockey Federation (ASHF) which formed in 1958. Pakistan is the most successful national field hockey team in the Hockey World Cup with four championships: 1971, 1978, 1982 and 1994. Pakistan also has the best overall performance in World Cup history in both proportional and absolute terms with 53 victories in 84 matches played, seven time draws, six appearances in the finals and only 24 losses. Pakistan national team has played in all FIH World Cup editions with only one absence in 2014. The green shirts is also one of the most successful national teams in the Asian Games with eight gold medals: 1958, 1962, 1970, 1974, 1978, 1982, 1990 and 2010, the highest number of times a country has come first, and the only Asian team to have won the prestigious Champions Trophy with three championships: 1978, 1980 and 1994. However, Pakistan could not qualify for Olympics since 2016.
Ashok Kumar(born 1 June 1950), is an Indian former professional field hockey player. He is the son of the Indian hockey player Dhyan Chand. Kumar was known for his exceptional skills and ball control. He was a member of the Indian team that won the 1975 World Cup.
Manzoor Hussain Junior is a field hockey player from Pakistan.
Mansoor Ahmed was a Pakistani field hockey player. He represented Pakistan national hockey team in 338 matches between 1986 and 2000.
Prithipal Singh was an Indian field hockey player nicknamed the “King of short corner” by hockey commentators. He participated in the Olympic field hockey three times and each time he scored the highest number of goals as a single player. Singh was a player with sharp reflexes, and the tremendous strength in his long and powerful arms produced firm and sticking shots which unfailingly fetched him goals and often the winners. The Evening Post, New Zealand commented in 1961 that to face the fury of Prithipal's hit is to risk one's life. Another author commented that if Arjuna was the maharathi of the Mahabharata war, Prithipal was the maharathi of the International Hockey game. The first-ever Arjuna Award to a hockey player was conferred upon him in 1961, which was later followed by the Padma Shri in 1967. Singh won Olympic medals in Rome, Tokyo and Mexico.
Chaudhry Ghulam Rasul was an educationist of Pakistan as well as a field hockey Olympic player. He was originally from Faisalabad District but later settled in Lahore. Rasool was an integral part of the Pakistani field hockey team from 1956 through 1963.
Zahid Shareef is a former Pakistani international hockey player who represented Pakistan from 1987 to 1991. During his playing career, he scored 41 goals playing in 73 matches. He is remembered for his exceptional dribbling skill. He was banned from the game in a controversial manner for six months. He retired from hockey in 1991. In February 2015, Shareef, who was working as a shift station manager at Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore, was arrested for alleged drugs smuggling.
Lala Abdul Rashid or Abdul Rashid was a member of Pakistan's gold medal winning 1960 Olympic field hockey team. He played as a goalkeeper throughout the tournament.
Salman Akbar is a Pakistani field hockey player and coach. He is a former captain and goalkeeper of the Pakistan Men's Hockey Team. A veteran of 230 games, he has represented Pakistan in the 2004 and 2008 Olympics. He lives in Holland now.
Jamie Dwyer is an Australian field hockey player. He currently plays for YMCC Coastal City Hockey Club in the Melville Toyota League in Perth, Western Australia. He did play for the Queensland Blades in the Australian Hockey League. He debuted for Australia as a junior player in 1995, and for the senior side in 2001. He has played over 350 matches for Australia and scored over 220 goals. He has represented Australia at the 2004 Summer Olympics where he won a gold medal and the 2008 Summer Olympics and 2012 Summer Olympics where Australia won bronze medals. He has also represented Australia at the 2006 Commonwealth Games where he won a gold medal and the 2010 Commonwealth Games where he also won gold. He has won silver medals at the 2002 Men's Hockey World Cup and the 2006 Men's Hockey World Cup. He won a gold medal at the 2010 Men's Hockey World Cup. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest players to ever play the game.
Fergus Kavanagh is an Australian field hockey player. He plays Western Australia in the Australian Hockey League. He is a member of the Australia men's national field hockey team, winning a bronze medal with the team at the 2008 Summer Olympics and 2012 Summer Olympics. He won a gold medal at the 2010 Commonwealth Games and at the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
