Zbigniew Mikulski

Zbigniew Mikulski (30 April 1925 - 28 December 2017) was a Polish and Swiss philatelist who was appointed to the Roll of Distinguished Philatelists in 2002. He specialised in the philately of Russia and Poland. His display of Russia won the Grand Prix International at Praha '88, and his collection of Soviet Airmails won the Grand Prix at Luraba '81. His display of Poland won Large Gold Medals at Praha '88 and Philexfrance'89. [1]

In addition to stamps Mikulski also collected Polish artworks and over the years acquired over hundred artworks of some of the best known Polish artist. Part of his collection was exhibited in Art Centre of Bydgoszcz (Polish: Bydgoskie Centrum Sztuki) in 2019. [2] [3]

He frequently served as a judge at international exhibitions and in 1966 was invited to sign the Roll of Distinguished Philatelists; Bojanowicz was one of very few professional philatelists to be accorded this honour.

William Russell Lane-Joynt, born in Limerick, was an Irish barrister, philatelist and Olympic shooter. He founded the Irish Philatelic Society in Dublin and assisted the Duke of Leinster to form his collection which was bequeathed to the Dublin Museum of Science and Art. Lane-Joynt was one of only two Irish philatelists to be honoured by signing the Roll of Distinguished Philatelists.

Hedwige Alma Lee FRPSL RDP was a Swiss-born naturalised British philatelist who specialised in the stamps of Switzerland and in topical collecting. She won large gold medals for her displays at Naba 1984, Stockholmia 1986, Hafnia 1987 and Finlandia 1988 and her collection was exhibited in the Court of Honour at PhilexFrance 1989 and New Zealand 1990. She signed the Roll of Distinguished Philatelists in 1991 and later became the only non-resident member of the Consilium Philateliae Helveticae. The Royal Philatelic Society London award the Lee Medal in memory of Alma and her husband Ron.

Boonkrong "Ad" Indhusophon FRPSL is a Thai philatelist who signed the Roll of Distinguished Philatelists in 2001.

Tay Peng Hian FRPSL is a Singaporean businessman and philatelist who was appointed to the Roll of Distinguished Philatelists. He is a fellow of the Royal Philatelic Society London. Tay is a specialist in the philately of Burma and the Straits Settlements.

Fritz Heimbuchler FRPSL is a German philatelist who was appointed to the Roll of Distinguished Philatelists in 2001. He specialises in the philately of Romania and his collections have won the Grand Prix d'Honneur at SOFIA 79 and the Grand Prix International at ISTANBUL 96. He is a fellow of the Royal Philatelic Society London.

Gustaf Torsten Johansson is a Swedish philatelist who was appointed to the Roll of Distinguished Philatelists in 2003. He is a specialist in the early stamps of Norway and Sweden and won a Grand Prix award at IBRA 99. His Norway collection was shown in the Court of Honour at Norwex 1997 when it was described as probably the best collection of Norway in the world.
