Zeppotron is a British television production company owned by Banijay UK. [1]
It was formed in 2000 by Charlie Brooker and other members of the writing and production team behind Channel 4’s The 11 O’Clock Show . [2] [3] [4]
Zeppotron's first TV commission was a sketch show based on Brooker's website TVGoHome. [5] Their other TV shows include Would I Lie to You? [6] , 8 Out of 10 Cats [7] , The Mash Report , Charlie Brooker’s Screenwipe , Nathan Barley [8] and the first series of Black Mirror. [3]
Endemol UK (now Banijay UK Productions) acquired 25 percent ownership of Zeppotron in 2000 [4] [9] and took full control of Zeppotron in 2002. [10]
