Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC), previously known as the Zimbabwe Cricket Union (ZCU) until 2004, is the governing body for the sport of cricket in Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe Cricket is a full member of the International Cricket Council (ICC), and administers the Zimbabwe national cricket team, organising Test tours, One-Day Internationals and Twenty20 Internationals with other nations. The Bangladesh men's national cricket team, popularly known as The Tigers, is administered by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). It is a Full Member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) with Test, One-Day International (ODI) and T20 International (T20I) status. It played its first Test match in November 2000 against India with a 10 wicket loss in Dhaka, becoming the tenth Test-playing nation.
Tatenda Taibu is a former Zimbabwean cricketer who captained the Zimbabwe national cricket team. He is a wicket-keeper-batsman. From 6 May 2004 to 5 September 2019, he held the record for being the youngest test captain in history when he captained his team against Sri Lanka until Rashid Khan of Afghanistan claimed the record.
The Zimbabwean cricket team in Bangladesh in 2006–07 played a Twenty20 International match and five One Day International matches. The T20I was the inaugural T20I played by both teams which Bangladesh won by 43 runs and they also whitewashed Zimbabwe in the limited formats by 5-0 margin.

Zimbabwe won the Test series 1–0. In addition, Zimbabwe won the ODI series by 3–0. It was Zimbabwe's last away win in a Test match, until they beat Bangladesh in Sylhet in November 2018.

The Bangladeshi cricket team toured Zimbabwe for a two-match Test series and a three-match One Day International (ODI) series between 7 and 30 April 2001. Zimbabwe won the Test series 2–0 and the ODI series 3–0. It was Bangladesh's inaugural overseas Test series.
The 2011 ICC Africa Twenty20 Division One was an international Twenty20 cricket tournament that took place between 9–15 July 2011. It was the inaugural edition of the ICC Africa Twenty20 Championship's Division One. Uganda hosted the event, with all matches played in the capital, Kampala.

Hilton William Raymond Cartwright is a Zimbabwean born Australian international cricketer who plays for Western Australia and the Melbourne Stars. He is a right-handed all-rounder. Cartwright made his Test debut for the Australian national team in January 2017, having earlier played for Australia A and the National Performance Squad. In January 2017 he won the Bradman Young Cricketer of the Year prize awarded by Cricket Australia.
The 2013–14 Faysal Bank T20 Cup was the tenth season of the Faysal Bank T20 Cup in Pakistan, sponsored by Faysal Bank. The tournament was held from 6 to 16 February 2014 at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi; Diamond Ground, Islamabad; Marghazar Ground, Islamabad and National Ground, Islamabad. A total of 17 Teams were divided into four groups, this was the most teams in the tournament's history. The highlight of this tournament was the inclusion for the first time of three new teams: FATA Cheetahs, Dera Murad Jamali Ibexes and Larkana Bulls. Broadcasting rights were given to PTV Sports who aired all of the matches live.

The 2015 ICC Women's World Twenty20 Qualifier was an international women's cricket tournament held in Thailand from 28 November to 5 December 2015. It was the second edition of the Women's World Twenty20 Qualifier.

2017–18 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy was the ninth edition of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy competition, an Indian domestic team only Twenty20 cricket tournament in India. It was held from 21 to 26 January 2018.
The 2018–19 Melbourne Stars season is the eighth in the club's history. Coached by Stephen Fleming and captained by Glenn Maxwell, they competed in the BBL's 2018–19 season.
