Zonder Ernst is a sitcom made for and aired in the 1990s by Dutch broadcasting organization NCRV.

Plot

The series centers around widow Jet Valkenburg (Sjoukje Hooymaayer) who lives in one house with her mother Frederique Asselberg (Ellen Vogel) and her daughter Klaartje Ellemijn Veldhuijzen van Zanten. The fourth main character is Jet's friend, a gay bookstore owner.

The name is a pun, translating as both "without Ernst" (referring to Jet's late husband) and "without seriousness".

Jet Pilot is a 1957 American Cold War romance film directed by Josef von Sternberg and starring John Wayne and Janet Leigh. It was written and produced by Jules Furthman, and presented by Howard Hughes. Filming lasted more than eighteen months, beginning in 1949. The last day of shooting was in May 1953, but the Technicolor film was kept out of release by Hughes due to his tinkering until October 1957, by which time Hughes had sold RKO. Universal-International ended up distributing Jet Pilot.

"Nergens zonder jou" is a song recorded by Dutch artists Guus Meeuwis and Gers Pardoel. It was released on 4 November 2011 through Universal Music Group. The song was written by Guus Meeuwis, Jan Willem Rozenboom and Jan Willem Roy and was produced by Rob van Donselaar and Rozenboom. At first, "Nergens zonder jou" was recorded only by Guus Meeuwis, for his eighth studio album Armen open, without rap vocals by Gers Pardoel. Later, the artists decided to collaborate and the song including Gers Pardoel's rap was released as a digital download.

Willy Corsari Dutch novelist and actor

Willy Corsari was the stage name and pen name of Wilhelmina Angela Schmidt, a Dutch actor, author and composer. She is noted for her detective fiction and has been termed the Dutch Agatha Christie. Born in Jette, a municipality of Brussels, the daughter of a singer and a musician, she spent an itinerant childhood living in the Dutch East Indies, Germany and the Netherlands. Corsari developed as a writer at an early age, being first published at age ten. In 1914, she had her musical debut at the cabaret De Kattebel, performing on stage until 1932. At the same time, she developed her writing career. In 1927, she published her first three books, including Misdaad zonder Fouten. Many more followed. She also produced plays for the stage and radio, and, in 1972 an album of songs that she wrote and composed entitled Liedjes in de Schemer. During the Second World War, she gave a German deserter refuge and was consequentially imprisoned in Scheveningen, although released due to insufficient evidence. After the war, continued to publish and reached a peak in 1958 with over 200,000 copies of her omnibus sold in a year. She continued to write, producing Spelen met de dood in 1983, although by that time her output had reduced to very low levels. She was made a Knight of the Order of Orange-Nassau in 1990 and died in Amstelveen in 1998.
