Zsuzsanna Laky (born 17 April 1984 in Nagykanizsa, Zala, Hungary) is a former beauty contestant and Miss Europe 2003. [1]

In 2000 she won the Miss Zala title. After becoming the 1st runner-up of the Miss Hungary beauty contest in 2002, she represented her country at the Miss Europe beauty contest held in Nogent-sur-Marne, France, and was crowned Miss Europe. She became the 2nd Hungarian contestant to do so (the 1st Hungarian Miss Europe was Erzsébet Simon in 1929).

This was the first time China hosted the pageant. Ticket pricing for the event ranged from $110 to $2,730.

Miss World 2006 56th edition of the Miss World pageant

Miss World 2006, the 56th edition of the Miss World pageant, was held on 30 September 2006 at the Sala Kongresowa, the main 2,897-seat auditorium of the Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw, Poland. It was the first time ever that the pageant was held in the Continental Europe and a European city other than London, United Kingdom, having previously been held there in 2002 after the Nigeria Controversy. The pageant officially concluded after Taťána Kuchařová from the Czech Republic was crowned Miss World 2006 by outgoing titleholder Unnur Birna Vilhjálmsdóttir of Iceland.

Miss World 2005, the 55th edition of the Miss World pageant, was held on 10 December 2005 at the Crown of Beauty Theatre in Sanya, China. María Julia Mantilla of Peru crowned her successor Unnur Birna Vilhjálmsdóttir of Iceland. 102 contestants from all over the world competed for the crown. All contestants competed in three "fast track" events, Beach Beauty, Miss Talent, and Beauty With a Purpose contests. The winner of each competition immediately became one of the fifteen pageant semi-finalists.She becaming the third Icelandic woman to win Miss World.

Miss World 1991 Beauty pageant edition

Miss World 1991, the 41st edition of the Miss World pageant, was held on 28 December 1991 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. The winner was Ninibeth Leal representing Venezuela. She was crowned by Gina Tolleson of the United States. Miss World 1991 was scheduled to be held in the Dominican Republic. Due to scheduling difficulties, Miss World was first moved to Puerto Rico, then to Atlanta, United States. Preliminary swimsuits in Miss World 1991 were held in South Africa. It was the first time the Miss World pageant was held in the United States.This is the fourth time that Venezuela to win Miss World.

Miss European is a beauty pageant of between 95 and 100 contestants aged 16 to 30 from France, Belgium, the Netherlands, England, Wales, Ireland, Malta and in 2011 both Scotland and Portugal joined the contest. The pageant was founded by Claude Pasbbecq in France in 1996 as Miss International. It changed its name to Miss Euroregion in 1999 and became Miss European in 2006. In 2013 Georgia joined making it one of the biggest beauty pageants in the world. The contest involves 3 rounds where contestants take part in Clubwear, Swimwear and an Evening Dress round. There is also a Team Dance which must include all team members. This is judged separately. This part of the contest has become increasingly popular.

Kinga Czuczor is a Hungarian beauty pageant contestant. She is notable for winning the title of Miss Hungary in 1990. Czuczor went on to represent Hungary in the Miss World pageant which was held on November 8, 1990, at the London Palladium. She also represented Hungary at the Miss International pageant held on October 13, 1991, in Tokyo and various other beauty contests, like World Miss University, Miss Globe International, Miss Hawaiian Tropic.

Lisl Goldarbeiter Austrian model and actress

Lisl Goldarbeiter was an Austrian model and actress, who in 1929, became the first and only Austrian to win the Miss Universe title. She also participated in the Miss Europe competition in 1929.
