The Zand dynasty was an Iranian dynasty, founded by Karim Khan Zand that initially ruled southern and central Iran in the 18th century. It later quickly came to expand to include much of the rest of contemporary Iran as well as parts of Iraq. The lands of present-day Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia were controlled by khanates which were de jure part of the Zand realm, but the region was de facto autonomous. Arfa Karim Pakistani computer prodigy

Arfa Abdul Karim Randhawa was a Pakistani student and computer prodigy who became the youngest Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) in 2004. She was submitted to the Guinness Book of World Records for her achievement. Arfa kept the title until 2008 and went on to represent Pakistan on various international forums, including the TechEd Developers Conference. She received Pakistan's highest literary award, the Presidential Pride of Performance from General Pervez Musharraf in 2005. A science park in Lahore, the Arfa Software Technology Park, is named in her honour. At the age of 10, Arfa was invited by Bill Gates to visit Microsoft's headquarters in the United States. She died on 14 January 2012, aged 16, from a cardiac arrest.

Kalio Indonesian dish

Kalio is a type of rendang that is cooked for a shorter period of time and much of the coconut milk liquid has not evaporated. Kalio has quite abundant liquid sauce acquired from cooked coconut milk that partly has turned into spicy oil, which is quite flavourful if consumed with steamed rice. Much of rendang served abroad are actually more akin to kalio or wet version of rendang. If stored at room temperature, kalio lasts less than a week. Kalio usually has a light golden brown colour, paler than dry rendang.

Nhat Nguyen Badminton player

Nhat Nguyen is an Irish badminton player. Born in Vietnam, Nguyen left the country for a new life in Dublin, Ireland along with his parents and older sister, when he was six years old. Then, he started playing badminton at the local club with his father. He was the gold medalist at the 2016 European U17 Championships in the boys' singles event, and also won the bronze medal in the doubles event partnered with Paul Reynolds. At the same year, he clinched the men's singles title at the Irish National Championships. Nguyen won his first senior international title at the Polish International in the men's doubles event with Reynolds, after that the men's singles title at the Welsh International.
