Shigeki Toyoshima is a Japanese former high jumper. He was a bronze medallist in his event at the 1998 Asian Games, sharing the position with Malaysia's Loo Kum Zee with a jump of 2.19 m. Ahmad Hassan Moussa is a Qatari decathlete. He represented his country at the 2004 Summer Olympics and is a two time Asian Champion in the event.

Kim Bok-joo is a South Korean former middle-distance runner who competed in the 1984 Summer Olympics. He also competed in the 800 m heats at the 1983 World Championships in Athletics and 1983 Summer Universiade.

The Asian Marathon Championships is a biennial international competition in marathon road running for Asian athletes. Organised by the Asian Athletics Association, its creation in 1988 followed decision to drop the 42.195-kilometre race from the programme of events at the Asian Athletics Championships. In that competition, championship marathons were held for men in 1973 and 1975, then finally for both men and women at the 1985.

Tian Yumei is a Chinese former track and field sprinter. Her personal best of 11.06 seconds for the 100 metres was set in 1997. She was a three-time Chinese champion in individual sprints.

Xiao Yehua is a Chinese former track and field sprinter. Her personal best for the 100 metres was 11.23 seconds, set in 1992. She was a two-time Chinese champion over the 100 m.

Matthew Simson is a male British former shot putter. He was the gold medallist in the event at the 1994 Commonwealth Games, which he won with his career best throw of 19.49 m.

Simon Alexander Williams is a male British former shot putter and discus thrower. He was the gold medallist in the shot put at the 1990 Commonwealth Games. He also represented Great Britain in the discus at the 1991 World Championships in Athletics and the 1992 Summer Olympics.

Zhou Zhongge is a Chinese track and field coach and former high jumper. His personal best was 2.33 m, set in 1990. He was the gold medallist at the 1990 Asian Games and the 1998 Asian Games silver medallist. He was the winner at the Asian Athletics Championships in 1998.

Chang Yong-ae is a North Korean former track and field runner who competed in the 800 metres and 1500 metres. She won a middle-distance double at the 1982 Asian Games, taking gold medals in both 800 m and 1500 m in Asian record times.

John Barry Nuttall is a male British former long-distance runner who competed in track and cross country running. He competed for Great Britain at the 1996 Summer Olympics. He also represented his country twice at the World Championships in Athletics and five times at the IAAF World Cross Country Championships. He was a silver medallist at the 1994 IAAF World Cup and a bronze medallist at the 1994 Commonwealth Games.

Yu Wenge is a Chinese former track and field athlete who specialised in the discus throw. He was a three-time Chinese champion and one-time Asian champion.

Mariam Ibekwe is a Nigerian former track and field athlete who competed in the shot put. She set her personal best of 16.68 m in 2007.

Kim Ki-Hun is a retired South Korean javelin thrower.

Kim Bong-yu is a South Korean middle-distance runner. He competed in the men's 1500 metres at the 1992 Summer Olympics. He holds the South Korean national record for the indoor 1500 metres with his best of 3:47.95 minutes. He was the bronze medalist at the 1993 East Asian Games behind teammate Kim Soon-hyung and China's Lin Jun.

AAA Indoor Championships

The AAA Indoor Championships was an annual indoor track and field competition organised by the Amateur Athletic Association of England. It was the foremost indoor domestic athletics event during its lifetime.
