The 1995 South Asian Gold Cup is an international football tournament held in Sri Lanka from 25 March to 2 April 1995. The five national teams involved in the tournament were required to register a squad of 23 players, including three goalkeepers. Sarfaraz Ahmed is a Pakistani professional cricketer, a wicketkeeper-batsman, who plays for the Pakistani national cricket team. He was the former captain of the Pakistan side in all formats. He leads Quetta Gladiators in the Pakistan Super League. Under his captaincy, Pakistan won the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy, defeating arch-rivals India in the final. Coincidentally, during his under-19 days, he also led the Pakistan team to win the 2006 Under-19 Cricket World Cup, where they had also beat India in the final.
The 2005 South Asian Football Federation Cup was the sixth edition of South Asian Football Federation Cup. It was the second time the competition was held in Pakistan. The tournament was played in two cities, Islamabad and Karachi with People's Football Stadium in Karachi hosting group-stages and Jinnah Sports Stadium in Islamabad hosting knock-out rounds and the finals. The tournament started on 7 December and ended on 17 December.
The 2003 South Asian Football Federation Gold Cup was held in Dhaka, Bangladesh between 10 January 2003 and 20 January 2003. All matches were played at the Bangabandhu National Stadium. Originally scheduled to be held between 26 January 2002 and 5 February 2002, the tournament was postponed due to the suspension of Bangladesh Football Federation by FIFA. Afghanistan were not in the draw, but were included in the tournament following an AFC recommendation to do so. It was also Bhutan's first tournament.

Teams from Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka participated in the tournament. Bangladesh, still an associate member of the ICC, played their full strength national side, while their neighbors sent their 'A' teams for the tournament. India won the cup after beating Bangladesh in the final. All the matches were 50 overs affair.

The purpose of the outdoor art camp is promoting inter-disciplinary art collaborations. It was launched in 2007 by artist and researcher Shawon Akand, along with artist Delowar Hossain as Crack International Art Camp.

The 2019 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup was the fourth edition of the ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup held in Bangladesh between 14 and 23 November 2019. The tournament was organized by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC). Nepal replaced the United Arab Emirates, after they pulled out due to an unknown reason. The Sri Lanka cricket team toured Bangladesh in May 2021 to play three One Day International (ODI) matches. All of the matches took place at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium. The ODI series formed part of the inaugural 2020–2023 ICC Cricket World Cup Super League. Originally, the tour was scheduled to take place in December 2020. The Sri Lankan cricket team arrived in Bangladesh on 16 May 2021, following their two-match Test series in Sri Lanka.

It was held in Pakistan and Sri Lanka, between 30 August to 17 September 2023. It was the first Asia Cup to be held in multiple countries, with four matches played in Pakistan and the remaining nine matches played in Sri Lanka. The tournament was contested by 6 teams. Sri Lanka were the defending champions.
