1GN, formerly known as 1 Girl Nation, was a contemporary Christian, power pop and pop rock band from Nashville, Tennessee, United States. They are on the Reunion Records label, affiliated with Provident Label Group and Sony Music Entertainment, and released their first album entitled 1 Girl Nation on August 20, 2013. The album has had chart successes.

Background

In 2012, 1 Girl Nation was formed in Nashville, Tennessee, and the band members are Lauryn Taylor Bach from Birmingham, Alabama, Lindsey Adamec from Jacksonville, Florida, Carmen Justice from Nashville, Tennessee, Kayli Robinson from Orlando, Florida, and Kelsey Grimm from Chicago, Illinois. [4] On May 1, 2014, the band announced that Kelsey was leaving the band because she was getting married. [5]

In June 2013, the band was signed to Reunion Records, a major Christian music label in the United States. [4]

1 Girl Nation

On August 20, 2013, 1 Girl Nation released their self-titled debut album 1 Girl Nation . 1 Girl Nation charted at No. 11 and No. 9 on the Top Christian Albums and the Top Heatseekers Albums charts respectively, for the Billboard charting week of September 7, 2013. [6] [7] On December 14, 2013, Billboard charts the album was the No. 2 Heatseekers Albums.

Unite

Their second album, Unite , was released on April 15, 2016, by Reunion Records. [8]

The album's title was inspired by the film and autobiographical novel The Education of Sonny Carson, and Carter G. Woodson's The Mis-Education of the Negro.

The band is best known for the top 10 Billboard hit single "Shake It" from the group's self-titled debut album. In 2010, tension between Cyrus and Musso caused the band to go on hiatus. Austin & Lindsey Adamec, also known as A&LA, are an American Christian music husband-and-wife modern worship duo from Jacksonville, Florida. They started their music recording career in 2016. Their first extended play record, Austin & Lindsey Adamec, was released in 2016 by Radiate Music.

Carmen Justice Hadley known professionally as Carmen Justice is an Alternative Pop recording artist and singer songwriter. She was first known as a member of Christian contemporary, power pop/pop rock band 1 Girl Nation before leaving the group and launching a solo career in 2017.

Kayli Mills is an American actress who voices for English versions of anime and Japanese video games. Some of her major roles include Emilia in Re:Zero, Akira Kazama in Street Fighter V, Alice Zuberg in Sword Art Online, and Keqing in Genshin Impact. She is not related in any way to fellow voice actor Daman Mills.
