The 2002 ICC Americas Championship was a cricket tournament in Argentina, taking place between 12 March and 16 March 2002. It gave six North and South American Associate and Affiliate members of the International Cricket Council experience of international one-day cricket.

The 2005 ICC Trophy was a cricket tournament held in Ireland between 1 July and 13 July 2005. It was an international one-day tournament played over 50 overs per side between 12 Associate Members of the International Cricket Council. It served as the final part of the Cricket World Cup qualification process, coming with the prize of a place in the 2007 Cricket World Cup for the five top-ranked teams, and with the prize of official One-Day International status from 1 January 2006 for the five top-ranked teams along with Kenya.

The 2015 ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier, for the 2016 World Twenty20, was held from 6 to 26 July 2015. The tournament was hosted by both Ireland and Scotland. 51 matches were played among 14 nations, down from 72 matches among 16 nations previously. The tournament formed part of the ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier series, with the top six teams going forward to the qualifying round of the 2016 ICC World Twenty20 tournament.

2018 ICC World Cricket League Division Two was a cricket tournament that took place in February 2018 in Namibia. The United Arab Emirates won the tournament, after beating Nepal by 7 runs in the final. Canada and Namibia finished third and fourth respectively and remained in Division Two. Oman and Kenya finished fifth and sixth respectively and were both relegated to Division Three. Following Kenya's last-place finish in the tournament, their captain Rakep Patel and their coach Thomas Odoyo both resigned.

The 2017 ICC World Cricket League Americas Region Qualifiers is an international cricket tournament that is scheduled to take place in Belgrano, Argentina. The winner of the qualifiers will progress to ICC WCL Division 5 which will be staged in September 2017.

The 2018–19 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Americas Qualifier was the tournament played as part of qualification process for the 2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup.

The 2019 Global T20 Canada was the second edition of the Global T20 Canada, a 20-over professional cricket tournament, played at the CAA Centre, Brampton, Ontario. It started on 25 July 2019, and concluded with the final on 11 August 2019. It was slightly later in the calendar than the previous tournament, to avoid clashing with the 2019 Cricket World Cup. Vancouver Knights are the defending champions. A new team named New York Legends were announced to replace Cricket West Indies B Team. The 2019–20 Regional Super50 was the 46th edition of the Regional Super50, the domestic limited-overs cricket competition for the countries of the Cricket West Indies (CWI). The tournament started on 6 November 2019, with the final taking place on 1 December 2019. The tournament featured the six regular teams of West Indian domestic cricket, the Combined Campuses and Colleges team and the West Indies Emerging Team. The matches were played as Twenty20 International (T20I) fixtures, with the top team progressing to the 2022 ICC Women's T20 World Cup Qualifier tournament. Argentina and Brazil competed in an ICC women's event for the first time since 2012. The tournament's fixtures were confirmed in September 2021. The United States won the tournament, winning five of their six matches.

The 2011 Women's Twenty20 Cup was the 3rd cricket Women's Twenty20 Cup tournament. It took place in August and September, with 35 teams taking part: 33 county teams plus Wales and the Netherlands. Kent Women won the Twenty20 Cup, beating Berkshire Women in the final, achieving their first T20 title. The tournament ran alongside the 50-over 2011 Women's County Championship.

The Bahamas cricket team toured the Cayman Islands in April 2022 to play a five-match Twenty20 International (T20I) matches against the Cayman Islands. The series was played in George Town, with the first two matches at the Jimmy Powell Oval and the remaining three matches at the Smith Road Oval. The Cayman Islands won all of the matches to take the series 5–0.

The 2023 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Americas Qualifier was a cricket tournament that formed part of the qualification process for the 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup. The first stage of the qualification pathway in the Americas region was the sub-regional qualifier, played in Argentina between 25 February and 4 March 2023. The top three teams in the sub-regional qualifier progressed to the Americas regional final, which was played in Bermuda between 30 September and 7 October 2023, where they were joined by Canada, who competed in the 2022 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Global Qualifier A in Oman. The winner of the Americas Regional Final qualified for the 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup. The West Indies and the United States, qualified for the World Cup as hosts.

The 2024 Under-19 Cricket World Cup qualification was a series of regional qualification tournaments to determine the final five places at the 2024 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. Nepal became the first team to Qualify for Under-19 World Cup through the Qualifiers.
