The 2003 Lunar New Year Cup was a football tournament held in Hong Kong over the first and fourth day of the Chinese New Year holiday.

HKSAR Reunification Cup is a cup competition for celebrating the reunification of Hong Kong to China from finishing the colonial rule by United Kingdom. The first edition of the cup was held on 3 July 1997, two days after the Day of Establishment of HKSAR. The second edition was featured by a 4-team competition held on the 5th anniversary in 2002. The third edition was held in 2007 for celebrating the 10th anniversary.

The 2009 Lunar New Year Cup is a football tournament held in Hong Kong on the first and fourth day of the Chinese New Year of the Earth Ox Year.

The 32nd Guangdong–Hong Kong Cup was held in December 2009 and January 2010. The first leg was played at Siu Sai Wan Sports Ground on 29 December, with the second leg to take place at Zhaoqing Sports Center on 2 January.

The 34th Guangdong-Hong Kong Cup will be held on 28 December 2011 and 1 January 2012. The first leg will be played at Hong Kong Stadium with the second leg to take place at Huizhou Stadium.
