The 2012 Fina World Diving Cup was the first event for the London Aquatics Centre,a test event part of the London Prepares series of test events and also served as a qualifying event for nations to attend the 2012 Olympic Games.

Tom Daley British Olympic diver

Thomas Robert Daley is a British diver and television personality. Specialising in multiple events, he is an Olympic gold medallist in the men's synchronized 10-metre platform event at the 2020 Olympics and double world champion in the FINA 10-metre platform event, winning in 2009 at the age of fifteen, and again in 2017. He is an Olympic bronze medallist in the 2012 platform event, the 2016 synchronized event, and the 2020 platform event, making him the first British diver to win four Olympic medals. Daley also competes in team events, winning the inaugural mixed team World title in 2015. He is a 5-time European champion and 4-time Commonwealth champion.

The FINA Diving World Cup is an international biennial diving competition that was first contested in The Woodlands, Texas in 1979. The 2012 edition served as Diving's test event for the 2012 Olympics, as well as the final qualifying event for Diving at those Games. Tom Daley is the youngest medallist at a FINA Diving World Cup. He was aged 13 years 277 days when he won bronze in the 10 m synchro competition in Beijing, China, on 22 February 2008.

The 2008 FINA Diving World Cup was held in Beijing, China and was a test event for the new Beijing Aquatics Center, as well as a qualifying event for 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing.

Diving at the 2012 Summer Olympics Diving events at the Olympics

The diving competitions at the 2012 Olympic Games in London took place from 29 July to 11 August at the Aquatics Centre within the Olympic Park. It was one of four aquatic sports at the Games, along with swimming, water polo and synchronised swimming.

Qiu Bo is a Chinese diver. He won the silver medal in the 10 metre platform event at the 2012 Summer Olympics. He is a four-time world champion at the World Aquatics Championships, winning the gold medal three times in the 10m platform event, consecutively in 2011, 2013 and 2015, and winning the gold medal in the synchronized 10m event in 2011.

Iván García (diver) Mexican diver

Iván Alejandro García Navarro is a Mexican diver. He is nicknamed "Pollo" ("Chicken"). He competes in diving and represented Mexico at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. He won a silver medal in the 10m Synchronized Platform with his partner Germán Sánchez with a high score of 468.90. In the individual 10m Platform, García came the 7th with a score of 521.65.

Germán Sánchez (diver) Mexican diver

Germán Saúl Sánchez Sánchez is a Mexican diver. He is nicknamed "Duva". At the age of 16, he competed in the Men's individual 10m platform at the 2008 Summer Olympics and came in 22nd. He won one gold medal in the 2011 Pan-American Games. At the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, he won a silver medal in the synchronized 10m platform with his partner Iván García. In the individual 10m platform, Sánchez came 14th. In 2016, Sánchez took part in his third Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where he came 5th in the synchronized 10m platform, again alongside Iván García. Twelve days later, Sánchez won the silver medal in individual 10m platform. and 9th in the semi-final. He became the third Mexican athlete to win an Olympic silver medal in Men's individual 10m platform after Joaquín Capilla (1952) and Álvaro Gaxiola (1968). He is also the only Mexican diver who has won Olympic medals in both individual and synchronized events.

Cao Yuan is a Chinese diver and an Olympic gold medalist, having won three golds, one silver and one bronze in the Olympics. He has also won golds in diving at the World Championships and World Cups.

Chris Mears (diver) British diver

Christopher James Mears is a British diver and DJ/Producer from Burghfield Common, near Reading, Berkshire. He competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in the synchronised 3m springboard event with Jack Laugher and won gold, the first Olympic gold medal for Britain in diving.

Hannah Starling is a British former diver. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, she competed in the Women's synchronized 3 metre springboard.

Daniel Goodfellow British diver

Daniel Goodfellow is a British diver and an Olympic bronze medalist. He first represented Great Britain as a senior at the 2013 European Diving Championships in the 10 m platform event and the 2013 World Aquatics Championships in the same event. Goodfellow won a bronze medal in the Men's 10m Synchronised Platform event with his diving partner Tom Daley at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. He has also won a gold with Daley in the same event at the Commonwealth Games, and a silver at the European Championships.

Singapore Swimming Association

Singapore Swimming Association (SSA) is the national governing body for swimming, diving, synchronised swimming, water polo and open water swimming in Singapore. Founded in 1939 as the Singapore Amateur Swimming Association (SASA), the body adopted its current name in 2002. It has been a member of FINA since 1939, and is one of 43 members of the Asia Swimming Federation.

2016 FINA Diving World Cup

The 2016 FINA Diving World Cup took place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 19 to 24 February 2016. It was the 20th edition of the Diving World Cup, and the first time being hosted by Brazil. The venue was the Maria Lenk Aquatic Centre.

Eden Cheng is a British diver. She won her first major medal in 2018 at the age of 15, when she won the gold medal at the European Championships in the 10 metre platform synchro with Lois Toulson.

2021 FINA Diving World Cup 2021 edition of the biennial FINA diving competition.

The 2021 FINA Diving World Cup was scheduled to take place in Tokyo, Japan, from 21 to 26 April 2020. It was to be the 22nd edition of the biennial diving competition, and the first time this specific FINA event was to be held in Tokyo and Japan. The venue was to be the Tokyo Aquatics Centre, and the final qualifying diving event for the 2020 Summer Olympics.
