The 2012 Formula Abarth season was the eighth season of the former Formula Azzurra, and the third under its guise of "Formula Abarth". The European Championship began on 31 March in Valencia, while the Italian Championship commenced on 10 June at Mugello. They finished together on 30 September at Monza.

Nicolas Costa, who drove for Euronova Racing by Fortec, won both series, taking four victories in the Italian series and six victories in the European championship. Costa won the Italian series by nineteen points and the European series by twenty points over runner-up Luca Ghiotto of the Prema Powerteam, with third place in the European championship taken by Ghiotto's teammate Bruno Bonifacio, while Costa's teammate Emanuele Zonzini finished third in the Italian championship.

The 2013 season was the second edition of the FIA Formula 3 European Championship organized by the FIA. The season began at Autodromo Nazionale Monza on 23 March and finished on 20 October at Hockenheimring. The series formed part of the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters meetings at seven triple header events, with other triple header events as part of the World Touring Car Championship, the FIA World Endurance Championship and the Superstars Series.

The series returned to a one-championship format, dropping the European Series moniker. The season started at Vallelunga on 28 April and concluded at 20 October at Monza.

The 2014 Italian F4 Championship was the inaugural season of the Italian F4 Championship, as it replaces Formula Abarth. It began on 8 June in Adria and finished on 12 October in Imola after seven triple header rounds.

The 2017 Italian F4 Championship Powered by Abarth was the fourth season of the Italian F4 Championship. It began on 2 April at Misano and finished on 22 October at Autodromo Nazionale di Monza after seven triple header rounds.

The 2019 Formula Regional European Championship was a multi-event, Formula 3 open-wheel single seater motor racing championship held across Europe. The championship features a mix of professional and amateur drivers, competing in Formula 3 cars that conform to the FIA Formula 3 regulations for the championship. In the inaugural season of the championship, Frederik Vesti was the drivers' champion.

The 2019 Italian F4 Championship Powered by Abarth was the sixth season of the Italian F4 Championship. Norwegian driver Dennis Hauger dominated the championship, winning twelve out of the 21 races, helping his team Van Amersfoort Racing to become teams' champions. The rookie championship was won by Mercedes junior Paul Aron, who won two races in the overall championship. Hauger's closest challenger Gianluca Petecof won four races, and Roman Staněk, Joshua Dürksen and Giorgio Carrara won one race each.

The 2020 Italian F4 Championship Powered by Abarth was the seventh season of the Italian F4 Championship. Gabriele Minì won the drivers' championship in his rookie season while his team Prema Powerteam won the teams' championship for the fifth time.

The 2021 Italian F4 Championship Powered by Abarth was the eighth season of the Italian F4 Championship.

The 2022 Italian F4 Championship Powered by Abarth was the ninth season of the Italian F4 Championship. The series moved onto new generation of the Formula 4 cars, continuing its collaboration with Tatuus and Abarth.

The 2023 Italian F4 Championship Powered by Abarth was the tenth season of the Italian F4 Championship.
