The 2012 MuchMusic Video Awards were held June 17, 2012 at MuchMusic's headquarters in Toronto, Canada. Katy Perry was the first performer announced. [1] The award show was co-hosted by LMFAO. [2]

For the 1st time since 2001, Fuse televised the MMVAs in the United States. Hedley and Justin Bieber tied for most wins at the 2010 MMVAs with 3 wins each.

The 2011 MuchMusic Video Awards was held in Toronto, Ontario, Canada at MuchMusic's headquarters on June 19, 2011. The awards were aired on MuchMusic, CP24, E!, MuchHD and Fuse. Along with the MuchMusic VJ's, it was confirmed on the MuchMusic website that Selena Gomez will host the show. Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber tied for the most awards won with 2 each.

Produced and co-written by Ryan Stewart, "Curiosity" is an upbeat pop track that is influenced by dance and synthpop. Lyrically, the track alludes to a girl who is poorly treated by a bad boy, and begs for more of his love. It received generally positive reviews from contemporary critics, who deemed it similar to Jepsen's previous single, "Call Me Maybe". "Kiss You Inside Out" is a song recorded by Canadian pop rock band Hedley, featured on a re-issue of their 2012 album Storms. It was written by Brandyn Burnette, Lauren Christy, and Adrian Newman, and was produced by Newman. The song was first released in Canada through Universal Music Canada as the album's third single on May 17, 2012 and was subsequently released in the United States on June 12, 2012 as the album's lead single in that market. "Kiss You Inside Out" was also serviced to American hot adult contemporary radio on June 18, 2012.

The 2013 MuchMusic Video Awards were held on Sunday June 16, 2013 at the MuchMusic headquarters in Toronto, Canada. Demi Lovato was the first performer announced. Psy served as co-host and a performer.

The 2014 MuchMusic Video Awards (MMVAs) was held on June 15, 2014 outside the Much headquarters in downtown Toronto. Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner served as co-hosts for the show.

The 2015 Much Music Video Awards (MMVAs) were held on June 21, 2015 outside the Much headquarters in downtown Toronto. Ed Sheeran served as co-host for the show.

The 2016 iHeartRadio Much Music Video Awards were held on June 19, 2016 outside 299 Queen Street West in Toronto, Ontario, and hosted by Gigi Hadid.

The 2017 iHeartRadio Much Music Video Awards were held on June 18, 2017, outside 299 Queen Street West in Toronto, Canada. It was hosted by Joe Jonas and Alessia Cara. Initial announcements were made on April 26, 2017. This is the final ceremony to be held in June and on Father's Day.
