Split Suburban Railway

The Split Suburban Railway is a suburban railway network in Split, Croatia. The railway was opened on refurbished existing M604 tracks on December 10, 2006. It consists of one line serving seven stations, running from Split centre to Kaštel Stari. The second line between Split centre and Split-Kopilica opened in June 2019, and was discontinued in November 2019. As of 2019, it is planned that new stations will be added along the tracks and the existing stops renovated. The line runs through two tunnels within the city centre of Split; within the longer of the two tunnels metro-like station (Split-H.B.Z.) will be opened in 2021 to serve the city centre. The line is 17.8 kilometres (11.1 mi) long while an average train ride lasts for 25 minutes. A link with Split Airport and further extension to Trogir is considered, with possible electrification in the long-term.

Alvaro Načinović Croatian handball player

Alvaro Načinović is a former Croatian handball player who competed for Yugoslavia and Croatia respectively.

Barbara Radulović is a Croatian TV host. She is perhaps best known as a participant in the Nova TV talent show Story Supernova Talents in 2003. After that appearance, Radulović soon had a chance to host the HRT music show Video-kiosk. In 2010, she was working as a host on the Croatian Music Channel, which started on November 5, 2007.

Helga Vlahović Croatian journalist, producer, and television personality

Helga Vlahović was a Croatian journalist, producer, and television personality, whose career spanned five decades in both SFR Yugoslavia and later Croatia. She was one of the most popular television presenters in the 1980s. Throughout her career, she was also credited as Helga Vlahović Pea and Helga Vlahović Brnobić during the times she was married.

Television in Croatia was first introduced in 1956. As of 2012 there are 10 nationwide and 21 regional DVB-T television channels, and more than 30 other channels either produced in the Republic of Croatia or produced for the Croatian market and broadcast via IPTV, cable or satellite television. The electronic communications market in Croatia is regulated by the Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM), which issues broadcast licenses and monitors the market. The DVB-T and satellite transmission infrastructure is developed and maintained by the state-owned company Odašiljači i veze (OiV).

Bobby Bosko Grubic is a Croatian American songwriter/composer, singer, and award-winning music and independent director and producer. He graduated from Nashville's nationally recognized Middle Tennessee State University Recording Industry and TV Production program.

Franka Batelić, also known as Franka, is a Croatian singer-songwriter. She rose to fame as the winner of the first season of Showtime. She represented Croatia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 with the song "Crazy".

The Kantakuzina Katarina Branković Serbian Orthodox Secondary School, also known as SPOG, is a coeducational gymnasium of the Metropolitanate of Zagreb, Ljubljana and all Italy in Zagreb, Croatia. It is the only high school of the Serbian Orthodox Church in the former Yugoslavia.

Denis Periša activist and hacker from Croatia

Denis Periša is a political activist, whistle blower and computer hacker from Šibenik, Croatia. He was convicted and criminally charged in September 1999. He was forbidden to use computer systems or internet for hacking e-mail of politician Veselin Pejnović and planting backdoor to his network. He founded the computer security website Jezgra.org in 1997 that is still active today. Founder of ŠI-WIFI wireless organization for his town in late 2005. Denis also claims himself to be a DJ, photographer and recently a writer of the book called "My first suicide", which has yet to be released.

M604 railway (Croatia) railway line in Croatia

Lika railway, officially a part of M604 railway, is a 220 km-long single-track, not electrified railroad connecting Zagreb-Rijeka line with Knin railway hub. It mostly runs through Lika region. M604 railway is the only operating railway link between the continental Croatia and Dalmatia, especially its harbors of Split, Zadar, and Šibenik (M607). Lika railway, finished in 1925, is a key part of this link. The M604 line itself runs from Oštarije/Ogulin on Zagreb-Rijeka railway past Knin, to Split terminus. Its total length is 320 km. Historically, much older Knin-Split section of M604 line used to be known as Dalmatian railway.

The Dream (Roko Blažević song) 2019 song by Roko Blažević

"The Dream" is a song performed by Croatian singer Roko Blažević and written by Jacques Houdek, Andrea Čubrić and Charlie Mason. The song represented Croatia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in Tel Aviv, Israel. A Croatian language version of the song, titled "Heroj", was released on 18 February 2019. The song was performed during the second semi-final on 16 May 2019, but did not quality for the final.

2014–2016 Croatian War Veterans Tent Protest was 555 days long war veterans protest, often dubbed in Croatia as The Tenters. The protests were initially aimed against Minister of War Veterans deputy Bojan Glavašević and minister Predrag Matić himself, however the protesters subsequently changed their demands and started demanding the resignation of left wing prime minister Zoran Milanović and then president Ivo Josipović.The protests escalated in May 2015 when a group of protesters breached the riot police cordons in Zagreb Upper Town and baricaded themselves inside St. Mark Church, where they again clashed with the police. At the same time another group of protesters near the central tent blocked the traffic and brought out gas bottles on Savska street which they apparently threatened to blow if the police doesn't back off from the church. After both Josipović and Milanović lost the elections in 2014. and 2015. the protests gradually calmed down and in April 2016., with the new minister taking over the veterans office, the tent was dismantled, formally ending the protest.
