The 2013 Players Tour Championship Grand Final (officially the 2013 Dafabet Players Tour Championship Grand Final [1] ) was a professional ranking snooker tournament that took place between 12 and 17 March 2013 at the Bailey Allen Hall in Galway, Republic of Ireland. It was the ninth ranking event of the 2012/2013 season. [2]

Stephen Lee was the defending champion, [3] but he couldn't compete due to his suspension from professional snooker. [4]

Ding Junhui won his sixth ranking title by defeating Neil Robertson 4–3 in the final. [5] [6] Ding also made the 97th official maximum break during his quarter-final match against Mark Allen. This was Ding's fifth 147 break and the ninth in the 2012/2013 season. [7] [8] This was the 250th ranking event to be staged in snooker.

Ding Junhui is a Chinese professional snooker player. He is the most successful Asian player in the history of the sport. Throughout his career, he has won 14 major ranking titles, including three UK Championships. He has twice reached the final of the Masters, winning once in 2011. The Players Tour Championship was a series of snooker tournaments comprising some minor-ranking events played in Europe, and an Asian leg comprising some minor-ranking events in Asia. Each regular event lasted for at least three days, with qualifying days for amateurs should the event be oversubscribed. The Players Tour Championship 2011/2012 – Event 2 was a professional minor-ranking snooker tournament that took place between 6–10 August 2011 at the South West Snooker Academy in Gloucester, England.

The Players Tour Championship 2011/2012 – Event 11 was a professional minor-ranking snooker tournament that took place between 17 and 19 December 2011 at the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield, England. The preliminary round took place on 10 December at the World Snooker Academy. The main round matches were split between the World Snooker Academy and the Badminton Hall of the venue. One table was broadcast on Eurosport. Despite being held in England, the event counted towards the Order of Merit as a European event.

The Players Tour Championship 2011/2012 – Event 12 was a professional minor-ranking snooker tournament that took place between 15 and 16 December 2011 at the World Snooker Academy in Sheffield, England with the first three rounds and 6–8 January 2012 at the Event Forum in Fürstenfeldbruck, Germany from the last 16 onwards.

2013–14 snooker season Series of snooker tournaments

The 2013–14 snooker season was a series of snooker tournaments played between 6 June 2013 and 5 May 2014. From this season every qualifying match was held open to the public at various venues in the United Kingdom, replacing the World Snooker Academy in Sheffield. The number of wild-card players at the Chinese ranking events, except the Shanghai Masters, was reduced from eight to four and former Main Tour players were excluded. A professional player could not be selected for more than one wild-card match during the season.

The 2013 International Championship was a professional ranking snooker tournament that took place between 27 October and 3 November 2013 at the Chengdu Eastern Music Park in Chengdu, China. It was the fifth ranking event of the 2013/2014 season.

The 2014 German Masters was a professional ranking snooker tournament that took place between 29 January–2 February 2014 at the Tempodrom in Berlin, Germany. It was the seventh ranking event of the 2013/2014 season.

The 2014 Gujinggong Liquor Haikou World Open was a professional ranking snooker tournament that took place between 10 and 16 March 2014 at the Hainan International Exhibition Center in Haikou, China. It was the ninth ranking event of the 2013/2014 season.

The 2014 BetVictor Welsh Open was a professional ranking snooker tournament that took place between 19 February and 2 March 2014 at the Newport Centre in Newport, Wales. It was the eighth ranking event of the 2013/2014 season, and the second time that BetVictor sponsored the event.
