The 2015 Sai Kung District Council election was held on 22 November 2015 to elect all 27 elected members to the 29-member Sai Kung District Council. [1]

Sai Kung District Council

Sai Kung District Council is the district council for the Sai Kung District in Hong Kong and one of 18 district councils. Sai Kung District currently consists of 29 members, of which the district is divided into 27 constituencies, electing a total of 27 with two ex-officio members who are the Hang Hau and Sai Kung rural committee chairmen. The latest election was held on 22 November 2015.

Civil Force

Civil Force is a district-based pro-Beijing political party in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China. Since 2014, the Civil Force entered an alliance with the New People's Party of Regina Ip. Headed by chairman Pun Kwok-shan, it has its stronghold in the Sha Tin and Sai Kung Districts and has the majority of seats in the Sha Tin District Council.

The Hong Kong local elections are elections in Hong Kong for the members of District Councils. The New Territories East geographical constituency, or NT East, is the one of the five geographical constituencies in the Legislative Council of Hong Kong. It encompasses Sha Tin District, Tai Po District, North District and Sai Kung District. It currently elects nine members of the Legislative Council using the Hare quota of party-list proportional representation.

Gary Fan Hong Kong politician

Gary Fan Kwok-wai is a Hong Kong politician. He is the member of Legislative Council from 2012 to 2016 and from 2018 after winning the 2018 by-election for New Territories East. He is also the current member of the Sai Kung District Council for Wan Hang. Former leader of the reformist faction in the Democratic Party, he led the reformists splitting from the party to from the Neo Democrats over the controversial 2010 constitutional reform proposal, taking a moderate localist stance.

Neo Democrats political party in Hong Kong

The Neo Democrats is a pro-democracy localist political group in Hong Kong composed mainly of former and disenchanted members of the Democratic Party New Territories East branch after the 2012 constitutional reform proposals. It formerly had one seat in the Legislative Council until Gary Fan lost his re-election in the 2016 Legislative Council election. It currently holds 12 seats in the District Councils, mostly in New Territories East. Fan who is the key person of the party regained his seat in the New Territories East in the 2018 by-election.

Tai Po District Council is the district council for the Tai Po District in Hong Kong. It is one of 18 district council. Tai Po District currently consists of 21 members, of which the district is divided into 19 constituencies, electing a total of 19 with 2 ex-officio members who are the Tai Po and Sai Kung North rural committee chairmen. The latest election was held on 22 November 2015.

Wan Hang is one of the 24 constituencies of the Sai Kung District Council in Hong Kong. The seat elects one member of the council every four years.

2012 Hong Kong legislative election in New Territories East

These are the New Territories East results of the Hong Kong legislative election, 2012. The election was held on 9 September 2012 and all 9 seats in New Territories East where consisted of North District, Tai Po District, Sai Kung District and Sha Tin District were contested. The pro-democracy camp strategically succeeded in holding six seats with only 56.9% of the votes. Raymond Chan Chi-chuen of the People Power and Gary Fan of Neo Democrats were elected for the first time. Former Civic Party legislator also returned to the LegCo representing the newly formed Labour Party.

Ricky Or Yiu-lam is a Hong Kong politician and former member of the Sai Kung District Council for Kwong Ming. He is the current chairman of the Concern Group for Tseung Kwan O People's Livelihood and member of the Democratic Party.

Ben Chung Kam-lun is a Hong Kong politician. He is the current member of the Sai Kung District Council for Yan Ying and convenor of Neo Democrats.

The 1999 Sai Kung District Council election was held on 28 November 1999 to elect all 17 elected members to the 24-member District Council.

Sai Kung North is one of the 19 constituencies in the Tai Po District. The constituency returns one district councillor to the Tai Po District Council, with an election every four years. The seat was currently held by Rex Li Wah-kwong of the Business and Professionals Alliance for Hong Kong.
