The Fangoria Chainsaw Awards are an award ceremony that goes out to horror films and thriller films. Beginning in 1992 the awards were expanded and an annual ceremony was inaugurated to give out the awards. The nominees were announced in February 2017 [1] and the winners are to be announced in late April. [2] "The winners are followed by the runners-up." [3]

The 21st Fangoria Chainsaw Awards is an award ceremony presented for horror films that were released in 2018. The nominees were announced in January 2019. The film Hereditary won five of its seven nominations, including Best Wide Release, as well as the write-in poll of Best Kill.

The 22nd Fangoria Chainsaw Awards is an award ceremony presented for horror films that were released in 2019. The nominees were announced on January 6, 2020. The film Midsommar won four of its five nominations, including Best Wide Release, as well as the write-in poll of Best Kill. The Lighthouse took three awards, including Best Limited Release. Doctor Sleep only took one award out of its leading seven nominations.

The 23rd Fangoria Chainsaw Awards is an award ceremony presented for horror films that were released in 2020. The nominees were announced on January 20, 2021. The film The Invisible Man won five of its five nominations, including Best Wide Release, as well as the write-in poll of Best Kill. Color Out Of Space and Possessor each took two awards. His House did not win any of its seven nominations. The ceremony was exclusively livestreamed for the first time on Shudder.
