The 2018 iHeartRadio Music Awards were held on March 11, 2018 at The Forum in Inglewood, California. [1] The list of nominations was announced on January 10, 2018. [2] DJ Khaled and Hailey Baldwin hosted the ceremony. [3] TBS, TNT, and truTV broadcast the ceremony in the United States, while the red carpet was broadcast live on the network's social media pages. The telecast aired following the 2018 NCAA Selection Show on TBS. [4] Taylor Swift premiered the music video for her single "Delicate" at the show. [5] 2018 marked the show's final simulcast on TBS, TNT, and truTV, as it returned to broadcast television the following year, and aired on new partner network FOX for the first time. [6]

Due to its rising success, "Havana" later became the official lead single of Camila, replacing "Crying in the Club". In November 2017, a remix version of the song with Puerto Rican rapper Daddy Yankee was uploaded to Cabello's YouTube page. The first verse of the remix is sung in Spanish while Daddy Yankee replaces Young Thug's verse.

In the US, "Never Be the Same" peaked at number six on the Billboard Hot 100 and was certified four-times platinum. It was written by Cabello, Amy Wadge, Nicolle Galyon and Emily Weisband, and produced by Emile Haynie and Bart Schoudel. "Consequences" is a piano-led ballad. Lyrically, it is about the impact of a partner that was in Cabello's life. The singer teased its single release by sending packages to fans on October 3, 2018. "Consequences" had two versions released as the album's third and final single on October 9, 2018. That same day, the album's original version was sent to US adult contemporary radio and a new orchestral version was released digitally. The orchestral version also impacted US contemporary hit radio on October 16, 2018 and US adult contemporary radio on October 22, 2018. Commercially, the song reached number one in Wallonia (Belgium). A music video for the orchestral version, directed by Dave Meyers, was released on October 10, 2018. The 2018 iHeartRadio MMVAs were held on August 26, 2018 outside 299 Queen Street West in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Unlike previous years, the 2018 show aired live at the end of August instead of Father's Day. It was hosted by Awkwafina.

The 2019 iHeartRadio Music Awards was held at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on March 14, 2019, and was broadcast live on Fox. Ariana Grande and Ella Mai were the most awarded artists, each winning three iHeartRadio Music Awards on the night. Cardi B lead the list of nominees with 14 nominations. T-Pain, who won The Masked Singer, hosted the show.

The 2019 Billboard Music Awards ceremony was held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on May 1, 2019. It aired live on NBC and was hosted by Kelly Clarkson for a second year in a row. The list of nominees were announced on April 4, 2019. Mariah Carey received the Icon Award during the show.

The iHeartRadio Music Award for Best Music Video is one of the awards handed out at the yearly iHeartRadio Music Awards. It was first awarded in 2017 and presented to Fifth Harmony for their song "Work From Home". Cardi B is the most nominated artist in this category, with a total of six nominations. BTS were the latest to receive this award for their song "Butter" in 2022.
