Rachel Rhodes, known professionally as Rei Yasuda, is a Japanese singer and model. She portrayed and co-voiced the character Lumi, the fictional lead vocalist of Genki Rockets in 2006. She debuted as a solo singer in 2013.

Superfly is a Japanese rock act that debuted on April 4, 2007. Formerly a duo, the act now consists solely of lyricist and vocalist Shiho Ochi with former guitarist Kōichi Tabo still credited as the group's composer and part-time lyricist. Superfly's first two studio albums were certified double platinum by the Recording Industry Association of Japan, and their first four consecutive albums all debuted at the top of the Oricon Weekly Album Charts, a first for a female recording artist in Japan in over seven years.

Nogizaka46 is a Japanese female idol group produced by Yasushi Akimoto, created as the official rival of the group AKB48. They are the first group from the Sakamichi Series, which also includes sister groups Sakurazaka46, Yoshimotozaka46, and Hinatazaka46.

Depend on Me is the first Japanese studio album by South Korean boy band VIXX. It was released on January 27, 2016, under the labels of Jellyfish Entertainment and CJ Victor Entertainment. It features the single "Depend on Me" and previously released Japanese singles "Error" and "Can't Say".

Hinatazaka46 is a Japanese idol group produced by Yasushi Akimoto. The group was established as a subgroup of Keyakizaka46 named Hiragana Keyakizaka46 on November 30, 2015, and was renamed and spun off into its own group on February 11, 2019. The group's name is adopted from the alternate reading of Hyūgazaka Street in Mita, Minato-ku, Tokyo, following the custom of naming groups after sloping streets in the Sakamichi Series. The captain of the group is Kumi Sasaki and its fans are referred to as Ohisama (おひさま).

5x20 All the Best!! 1999–2019 is the fifth greatest hits album by Japanese boy band Arashi. It was released through J Storm on June 26, 2019. The album debuted at the top spot of the Oricon Weekly Albums chart, selling 1,304,251 copies in its first week of release in Japan. It spent the most weeks at number one of any album on the Oricon Albums Chart in 2019, with four, and was both the best-selling album of 2019 in Japan, as well as worldwide, with 3.3 million copies sold, eventually becoming the world's best-selling album of the year for 2019.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">JO1</span> Japanese boy band

JO1 is a Japanese boy band formed through the reality competition show Produce 101 Japan. The group is composed of eleven members: Issei Mamehara, Ren Kawashiri, Takumi Kawanishi, Shosei Ohira, Shion Tsurubo, Ruki Shiroiwa, Keigo Sato, Syoya Kimata, Junki Kono, Sukai Kinjo, and Sho Yonashiro. JO1 is the first Produce 101 winning group that is intended to be permanent. It is managed by Lapone Entertainment, a joint venture between Yoshimoto Kogyo and CJ ENM.

Singularity is the ninth studio album released by the Japanese hip hop group Lead, released on March 18, 2020, nearly two years after their previous album, Milestone. It debuted at No. 12 on the Oricon charts, becoming their first in eight years not to debut in the top ten.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Yoasobi</span> Japanese pop superduo

Yoasobi is a Japanese superduo formed in 2019 by Sony Music Entertainment Japan, composed of Vocaloid producer Ayase and singer-songwriter Ikura. Represented by the slogan "novel into music", the duo originally released songs based on selected short stories posted on Monogatary.com, a social media website for creative writing operated by the label. Stories were later also sourced from various media like stories written by professional authors, books, letters, and plays, etc.

<i>Leo-Nine</i> 2020 album by LiSA

Leo-Nine is the fifth studio album by Japanese singer LiSA. It was released on October 14, 2020, through Sacra Music and Sony Music Japan. Leo-Nine marks the singer's first full-length project in over three years since Little Devil Parade (2017). Like Little Devil Parade, Leo-Nine features a wide range of contribution from composers and producers, including long-time collaborators Pablo, Ryo Eguchi, Koichiro Takahashi, and Shota Horie. The album sold over 66,000 copies in its first week, reaching the number one spot on both Oricon Albums Chart and Billboard Japan's Hot Albums chart. Along with "Homura" debuting at number one on the Japan Hot 100, LiSA became the first artist ever to debut atop the Billboard Japan's charts simultaneously. The album has since received a gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ).
