On 21 November 2022, at 16:22, [3] a factory fire started, killing 38 people and injuring two others in Wenfeng District, Anyang City, Henan, central China. [1] According to state media, the fire was started by "illegal welding". [2] [4] [5] [6]

According to a government statement, more than 200 rescuers and 60 firemen battled the blaze, and there were also psychologists on the site for the victims' relatives. State media said that the fire started at a facility belonging to a tiny, privately held company in Anyang's "high tech zone" without going into further detail about the nature of the business. [6]

On 27 June 2022, the Russian Armed Forces fired two Kh-22 anti-ship missiles into central Kremenchuk, Poltava Oblast, hitting the Amstor shopping mall and the Kredmash road machinery plant. A fire broke out and the attack killed at least 20 people and injured at least 56. Russian media and officials carried conflicting stories about the attack.

On 15 October 2022, starting around 10:00 local time, a series of incidents including a fire, explosions and automatic gun battles occurred in the Evin Prison in Tehran, Iran, continuing through to early morning 16 October 2022. At least eight inmates died, and 57 others were injured according to Iranian government sources. An IRIB reporter stated that 40 people had died and then corrected herself.

On the early hours of 5 November 2022, a fire occurred at the Poligon café in the city of Kostroma, Kostroma Oblast, Russia. The fire killed 15 people and injured 9 others. 250 other people were evacuated. The cause of the fire was reported to be the firing of a flare gun.
