The 2022 London Broncos season is the 43rd year in the club's history, the third consecutive season out of the Super League and their first season at Plough Lane as tenants of AFC Wimbledon. They were coached by Jermaine Coleman between January and May 2022, and Mike Eccles from May 2022 onwards. The Broncos competed in both the 2022 Betfred Championship and the 2022 Challenge Cup.

The London Skolars are a rugby league club based at the New River Stadium, Wood Green, Haringey in north London. They were founded in 1995 and were semi-professional from 2003, operating in the Betfred League 1, until the club withdrew from the professional leagues at the end of 2023.

Jy-mel Coleman was until most recently the interim head-coach of Keighley Cougars, following the sacking of Rhys Lovegrove and a former Jamaican international rugby league footballer who has played as a stand-off, scrum-half, hooker or loose forward for a number of clubs.

In the 2023 rugby league season, Featherstone Rovers competed in the RFL Championship and the Challenge Cup. In the Championship, Featherstone won the League Leaders' Shield having lost only two regular season games, but suffered a 46-22 upset in the play-off semi-final against London Broncos.
