It was the 31st edition of the Rosmalen Grass Court Championships and was classified as an ATP 250 event on the men's 2022 ATP Tour and a WTA 250 event on the women's 2022 WTA Tour. The tournament was previously held in 2019 after the COVID-19 pandemic forced the double postponement of the event.

Awarded a wildcard into the tournament, Hijikata and Kubler saved a match point en route to the title, in their third round match against Tomislav Brkić and Gonzalo Escobar. Nys became the first ever Monegasque player to reach the semifinal and final of a major.
Rohan Bopanna and Matthew Ebden defeated Wesley Koolhof and Neal Skupski in the final, 6–3, 2–6, [10–8], to win the men's doubles tennis title at the 2023 Indian Wells Masters. At the age of 43, Bopanna overtook Daniel Nestor to become the oldest ATP Masters 1000 finalist and champion, winning his fifth Masters 1000 title and 24th career ATP Tour doubles title overall. It was Ebden's first Masters 1000 title and ninth career doubles title.

Two-time defending champions Rajeev Ram and Joe Salisbury defeated Rohan Bopanna and Matthew Ebden in the final, 2–6, 6–3, 6–4 to win the men's doubles tennis title at the 2023 US Open. They became the first team to win three consecutive US Open titles in the Open Era.

Rohan Bopanna and Matthew Ebden defeated Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori in the final, 7–6(7–0), 7–5 to win the men's doubles tennis title at the 2024 Australian Open. It was Bopanna's first major title in doubles, and Ebden's second. Bopanna became the oldest man in the Open Era to win a major title.
