Same-sex marriage has been legal in Greece since 16 February 2024. In July 2023, the re-elected government headed by the New Democracy party announced its intention to legalize same-sex marriage. Legislation was introduced to the Hellenic Parliament on 1 February 2024 and passed on 15 February by 175 votes to 77. The bill was signed into law by President Katerina Sakellaropoulou and took effect upon publication in the Government Gazette on 16 February. Greece was the 16th member state of the European Union, the 21st country in Europe and the 36th in the world to allow same-sex couples to marry.

Olympiacos Men's Waterpolo, commonly referred to as Olympiacos, Olympiacos Piraeus or with its full name as Olympiacos CFP, is the professional men's water polo department of the major Greek multi-sport club, Olympiacos CFP, based in Piraeus, Greece. The department was founded in 1925, one of the founding members of the Hellenic Swimming Federation, and their home ground is the Papastrateio Pool in Piraeus.

Spyridon-Adonis Georgiadis, commonly known as Adonis Georgiadis, is a Greek politician, author, publisher and former telemarketer. Often described as being on the far right of the political spectrum, he currently serves as Vice President of New Democracy and Minister for Health in the Second Cabinet of Kyriakos Mitsotakis. He previously served in the same cabinet as Minister for Labour and Social Security (2023–2024), Minister for Development and Investment in the First Cabinet of Kyriakos Mitsotakis (2019–2023), Minister for Health in the Cabinet of Antonis Samaras (2013–2014) and Deputy Minister for Development, Competitiveness and Shipping in the Cabinet of Lucas Papademos (2011–2012).

Athanasios "Thanos" Plevris is a Greek politician and son of author Konstantinos Plevris who served as the Minister for Health under the cabinet of Kyriakos Mitsotakis from 2021 to 2023. Plevris is often described as a radical right and islamophobic voice in Greek politics.

Nikolaos "Nikos" Dendias is a Greek lawyer and politician of the conservative New Democracy party who has been serving as Minister for National Defence in the government of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis since 2023. He is a Member of the Hellenic Parliament for Athens, and previously served as Minister for National Defence from November 2014 to January 2015 and as Minister for Foreign Affairs from July 2019 to May 2023.

Giorgos Katsoulis was a Greek water polo player and the assistant coach of Olympiacos Women's Water Polo Team, since 2016.

Georgios Darivas was a Greek coach and footballer who played as a forward for Olympiacos. He competed in the men's tournament at the 1952 Summer Olympics.

The 2022–23 Super League 2, known as Super League 2 betsson for sponsorship reasons, is the fourth season of the Super League 2, the second-tier Greek professional league for association football clubs, since the restructuring of the Greek football league system.
