A featherweight bout between former champion Vugar Karamov and former Rebel FC Featherweight champion Kazumasa Majima was expected to take place at the event. [2] However, Karamov withdrew from the bout due to his inability to travel to Japan and was replaced by Masakazu Imanari. [3]
A lightweight bout between former Shooto Pacific Rim Lightweight champion Yusuke Yachi and former HEAT Lightweight champion Kim Kyung-pyo was expected to take place at the event. However Kim withdrew from the bout due to knee injury and was replaced by Rikuto Shirakawa. [4]
A super atomweight bout between former two-time champion Ayaka Hamasaki and former title challenger Claire Lopez was expected to take place at the event. However Hamasaki withdrew from the bout due to forearm fracture and was replaced by current DEEP Microweight champion Saori Oshima. [5]

The event is scheduled to be headlined by a bantamweight rematch between the Rizin Flyweight Champion (also former two-time Rizin and Bellator Bantamweight Champion) Kyoji Horiguchi and former Bellator Bantamweight Champion Sergio Pettis. [10] The pair previously met at Bellator 272 in December 2021, which Pettis defended the title by fourth round knockout. [11]
A bantamweight bout between former Rizin Featherweight Champion (also former KSW Featherweight Champion) Kleber Koike Erbst and former Rizin Bantamweight Champion (also former Bellator Bantamweight Champion) Juan Archuleta is expected to serve as the co-main event. [12]

She has fought in MMA promotions Shooto, Jewels and Rizin in Japan, and Invicta FC in the United States. Hamasaki won the first Jewels 115 lb (52 kg) Queen tournament to become the first lightweight champion of the promotion. Hamasaki vacated her title due to injuries on August 31, 2013. She is a former Invicta FC Atomweight Champion. Hamasaki is the first Asian to win a North American premier MMA promotion title.
Kyoji Horiguchi is a Japanese mixed martial artist currently competing in Rizin FF in the Flyweight division, where he is the current RIZIN Flyweight Champion and former RIZIN Bantamweight Championship. He is also the former Bellator Bantamweight World Championship.
Sergio Jerome Pettis is an American mixed martial artist who is currently signed with Bellator MMA, where he is the former Bellator Bantamweight Champion. Prior to signing with Bellator, Pettis competed in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), where he fought in both the Bantamweight and Flyweight divisions.
Juan Archuleta is an American mixed martial artist who competes in the bantamweight divisions of Bellator MMA and Rizin Fighting Federation, where in the latter promotion, he is the former Rizin Bantamweight Champion. A professional MMA competitor since 2013, he has also previously fought for King of the Cage and the World Series of Fighting. Archuleta is also a former Bellator Bantamweight World Champion.
