The second round of CONCACAF matches of 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification is expected to take place during the months of June 2024 and June 2025.
As Canada, Mexico, and the United States qualified for the final tournament as hosts, they will not take part in the qualification tournament. Thirty teams – the top twenty-eight from the December 2023 FIFA World Ranking and the two first round winners – were drawn into six groups of five teams each, and each team will play each other team in their group once with two home matches and two away matches. The winners and runners-up from each group will advance to the third round. [1]
The draw took place on 25 January 2024 in Zürich, Switzerland. [2] Teams were seeded based on the FIFA Men's World Ranking of December 2023 (shown in parentheses). [3]

In the CONCACAF fourth round of qualification for the 2014 FIFA World Cup, the United States, Costa Rica, and Honduras finished in the top three places and qualified directly for the 2014 World Cup. Mexico finished in fourth place and defeated New Zealand in the CONCACAF – OFC play-off to gain a spot in the World Cup. Mexico finished in fourth place ahead of Panama after the United States scored two goals against Panama in stoppage time in the final match of qualifying; had Panama retained its 2–1 lead, they would have finished in fourth place and eliminated Mexico on goals scored, who had qualified for the previous five World Cups.
The fourth round of CONCACAF matches for 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification was played from 13 November 2015 to 6 September 2016.
The fifth round of CONCACAF matches for 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification was played from 11 November 2016 to 10 October 2017. Mexico, Costa Rica, and Panama qualified for the 2018 FIFA World Cup, while Honduras advanced to the inter-confederation play-offs. The United States and Trinidad and Tobago were eliminated in this round.

The 2022 CONCACAF W Championship qualification competition, also known as the CONCACAF W Qualifiers, is a women's football tournament that was contested by the senior women's national teams of the member associations of CONCACAF to decide the participating teams of the 2022 CONCACAF W Championship. The qualifying matches took place in February and April 2022. A total of six teams in the qualifying competition advanced to the final tournament, joining Canada and the United States, who received byes as the top ranked teams. The 2022 CONCACAF W Championship will serve as the CONCACAF qualifiers to the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, as well as for the football tournament at the 2024 Summer Olympics in France.
The CONCACAF Nations League is an international football competition contested by the senior men's national teams of the member associations of CONCACAF, the regional governing body of North America, Central America, and the Caribbean. The tournament takes place on dates allocated for international friendlies on the FIFA International Match Calendar. A one-time qualifying tournament took place from September 2018 to March 2019 and the inaugural tournament began in September 2019. The teams are divided into three leagues of four groups, from League A to League C. The winners of each group from League A get to play the Finals, constituted of the semi-finals, a third-place play-off, and the final.
