TransJakarta is a bus rapid transit (BRT) system in Jakarta, Indonesia. The first BRT system in Southeast Asia, it commenced operations on 15 January 2004 to provide a fast public transport system to help reduce rush hour traffic. The system is considered as the first revolutionary public transit mode in the capital city of Indonesia. The buses run in dedicated lanes (busways), and ticket prices are subsidised by the regional government. TransJakarta has the world's longest BRT system, which operates about 4,300 buses. As of February 2020, it serves an average of 1.006 million passengers daily.

Covering the distance of 69.35 kilometres, it was the longest KA Commuter line, combining the loop-line on Jatinegara–Kampung Bandan–Tanah Abang–Manggarai with Manggarai–Depok–Bogor lines.
The Piala Presiden is an annual pre-season association football tournament held in Indonesia and organized by the Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI). Liga 1 and Liga 2 clubs are entitled to participate. National Dayak Customary Council is an official customary council of the Dayak people in Indonesia that acts as the highest authority over other cultural or traditional councils of the Dayak people. It has branches from the provincial level to the village level in the entire Kalimantan and is funded by the Indonesian government. It was established on 5 September 2006 after the 2nd National Indonesian Dayak Conference in Pontianak regarding matters of funding the organization and its structure, and has been incorporated into laws by various local governments in Kalimantan. The president of the council is elected by representatives of regional branches for a five year term. The current president of the council from 2021 to 2026 is Marthin Billa, who was previously regent of Malinau Regency and chief of the North Kalimantan provincial Dayak Council.

The 2022 Indonesian student protests, also known as the 11 April demonstrations, were a series of protests led mostly by students throughout Indonesia. They were triggered by rumours regarding a delay of the 2024 election and proposals of amending the Constitution to allow President Joko Widodo to have a third term. They drew attention to food prices and the rising price of cooking oil in Indonesia. They were conducted mostly by university and college students in major cities across the country, and much of the organizing was done by the All-Indonesia Students Executive Alliance (BEM-SI).
Artalyta Suryani, also known as Ayin is an Indonesian entrepreneur known for her involvement in the BLBI prosecutor graft case. On July 29, 2008, Artalyta was found guilty by the Jakarta Corruption Court and sentenced to five years in prison for bribing Urip Tri Gunawan, chairman of the BLBI investigating prosecutor team, for 660,000 US dollar. The case also implicated a number of officials of the Attorney General's Office of Indonesia, resulting in their resignation or dismissal.

In early 2023, rumours regarding child kidnappings across Indonesia triggered a series of mass hysteria and vigilante actions across the country. The rumours were mostly spread through WhatsApp, Facebook, and TikTok which, according to authorities, were mostly fake. The rumours resulted in injuries and fatalities in some places, with the most severe cases resulting in a riot in Wamena which killed twelve people; and in Sorong, where a woman was burned alive. In other places such as North Musi Rawas Regency, five men were injured after being beaten by a mob who accused them of kidnapping; and in Surabaya, where a mentally ill person was also beaten to death by a mob.
