FIBA Europe is the administrative body for basketball in Europe, within the International Basketball Federation (FIBA), which includes all 50 national European basketball federations.
USA Basketball (USAB) is a non-profit organization and the governing body for basketball in the United States. The organization represents the United States in FIBA and the men's and women's national basketball teams in the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee. Its chairman of the board is retired General Martin Dempsey and its CEO is Jim Tooley.
Angelo Constantin Tsagarakis is a retired French-Greek professional basketball player who played both point guard and shooting guard. Tsagarakis played college basketball at Oregon State University, with the Oregon Beavers, and at Cal Poly Pomona, with the Cal Poly Pomona Broncos.
He is since April 2022 the head coach of all Greek 3x3 basketball national teams.
Recognized as one of the premier 3x3 players on the international scene, he was a member and leader of the French National Team that competed and brought back the bronze medal at the 2017 FIBA 3x3 World Cup.
While representing France in international competitions between 2017 and 2018, Tsagarakis brought back two long distance shooting gold medals at the 2017 World Cup in Nantes and the 2018 Europe Cup in Bucharest.
He was also the top FIBA ranked French 3x3 player for the year 2015.
3x3 basketball is a variation of basketball played three-a-side, with one backboard and in a half-court setup. According to an ESSEC Business School study commissioned by the International Olympic Committee, 3x3 is the largest urban team sport in the world. This basketball game format is currently being promoted and structured by FIBA, the sport's governing body. Its primary competition is an annual FIBA 3X3 World Tour, comprising a series of Masters and one Final tournament, and awarding six-figure prize money in US dollars. The FIBA 3x3 World Cups for men and women are the highest tournaments for national 3x3 teams. The 3x3 format has been adopted for both the 2020 Summer Olympics and 2022 Commonwealth Games.
The FIBA 3x3 Europe Cup had its inaugural tournament in 2014 in Bucharest, Romania. There are two events in the championship, one men's event and one women's event. Each team has four players. The match is played on a half court and every rule applies as well as a 12-second shot clock and clearance needed on a new possession.
The Philippines men's national 3x3 team represents the country in international 3x3 basketball matches and is governed by the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas.
The USA Women's 3x3 Teams are two of the teams under the auspices of the USA Basketball organization. In 2007, FIBA decided to start championships for the 3x3 event, starting in 2010. Two events are held, one for athletes under 18 years of age and one open event. The under 18 event (U18) is held every year, although in every fourth year, starting with 2010, the event is part of the Youth Olympic Games. The open events are held every other year, in even-numbered years, starting in 2012.
The Germany women's national 3x3 team is a national basketball team of Germany, governed by Deutscher Basketball Bund (DBB). It represents the country in international 3x3 women's basketball competitions.
The 2016 FIBA Europe 3x3 Championships was the second edition of the European 3x3 basketball event that featured separate competitions for men's and women's national teams. The tournament started on 25 June 2016 with the first of the three qualifying tournaments and its final tournament was played in the AFI Cotroceni shopping mall in Bucharest, Romania between 2 and 4 September 2016.
Dušan Domović Bulut, is a Serbian professional basketball player who is former world No. 1 ranked in men's individual 3x3 rankings by the International Basketball Federation (FIBA). He plays for Aliens and Serbia men's national 3x3 team. He is widely considered to be the greatest 3x3 basketball player of all time.
The Netherlands men's national 3x3 team is the 3x3 basketball team representing Netherlands in international men's competitions, organized and run by the Nederlandse Basketball Bond.
The 2019 FIBA 3x3 Europe Cup was the fifth edition of the 3x3 Europe Championships that is organized by FIBA Europe. It was held between 30 August and 1 September at the Kossuth Square in Debrecen, Hungary. The event was held on Kossuth Square in front of the iconic Reformed Great Church.

Anastasia Yuryevna Logunova is a Russian basketball player. She qualified for the 2020 Summer Olympics, playing in a team with Mariia Cherepanova, Olga Frolkina, and Yulia Kozik in the 3×3 tournament. With Dynamo Kursk she won the 2017 EuroLeague. She has also played for the Russia women's national 3x3 team, who notably won the inaugural 2014 FIBA Europe 3x3 Championships.
3x3 basketball was among the sports contested at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, held in Birmingham, England. This variation of basketball and its wheelchair counterpart was staged at the Games for the first time. All four tournaments took place between 29 July and 2 August 2022.
The basketball competitions at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France, will be held from 27 July to 11 August 2024. Preliminary 5-on-5 basketball matches will occur at Pierre Mauroy Stadium in Lille, with the final phase staged at the Accor Arena in Paris. Retaining its position in the program, the 3x3 competitions will be played at Place de la Concorde.
Davaasambuugiin Delgernyam is a Mongolian basketball player for the Mongolian 3x3 national team. He also plays in Ulaanbaatar MMC team, which is currently ranked # 10 in the world of FIBA 3x3 ranking. Based on his physicality and playing style he earned two nicknames: Mongolian Monster and Bull.
